OP is spreading more gossip than TMZ. :smh:

USA, Inc. NEEDS a war because it is destitute and has to find someone to pillage but there are only a few places left, none of which are viable options so this BS is tossed out.
The Luciferian OP, @lightbright , is calling for a mass blood sacrifice the day after the Lupercalia. When he is wrong, will he double down on the ignorance or delete the thread?

It is where all the truckers convoys are going on fighting mandates. No news is covering it.

And on the Russian troop movement, now they are saying many troops are returning to bases and this is all part of military exercises.
Time will tell but seems like this is all a bluff by Putin and the mostly the media.

Nobody's covering it because the Canadian police are using appropriate response. That doesn't make for great news coverage.

Also, the mandates and the virus are in their way out anyway

Appropriate response meaning what?

Appropriate response meaning what?

Meaning that they used the minimum force necessary to subdue an arrest the people engaged in violence and destruction of property. The rest of the folks got their bank accounts frozen and their funding cut off so eventually most of them left on their own.

Once they leave the sympathizers leave along with them until the whole movement loses steam. That way there's no embarrassing footage on the evening news. No martyrs. No revolution.

Compare that to how the police handle things in Seattle and Portland during the George Floyd protests.

You're saying the people in Ottawa are destroying property and violence? Where?

All I know is they are blocking roads.

A few protesters destroyed war memorials. A few others damaged a statue of Terry Fox. The media downplayed it and the police didn't escalate.

No sense egging on a revolution over some mandates that will probably be dropped within the next few months anyway. The fact that you didn't hear about it until 2 weeks later means that their plan worked.

Biden braces Americans for higher energy prices if Russia invades Ukraine (msn.com)

With fears of a Russian attack on Ukraine remaining a "distinct possibility," President Joe Biden is sending a stark warning to Americans about what he says could be very real economic consequences at home -- especially at the gas pump.

Fears of Russian invasion in Ukraine drives up US gas prices
"I will not pretend this will be painless," Biden said Tuesday while preparing Americans to be prepared for higher energy prices in the U.S. if Russian President Vladimir Putin decides to attack Ukraine and the Biden administration in turn puts its "powerful" sanctions in place.

The average price of a gallon of gas reached $3.51 on Wednesday, according to AAA, up roughly a dollar from a year ago and the highest level since October 2014. And in just the last month, prices in more than a dozen states have jumped 25 cents.

Russia is the second largest oil producer in the world, and if it invades and U.S. sanctions then keep its oil from the world market or make it more expensive, and ABC News Chief Business Correspondent Rebecca Jarvis reports some analysts predict prices at the pump in the U.S. could jump as much as 50 cents.

Polls show Biden already is being blamed for higher gas prices as part of the worst inflation in nearly 40 years -- more than 7% last year -- and it's a big political problem for him and Democrats ahead of November's midterm elections.

ABC News' Chief White House Correspondent Cecilia Vega pressed the White House on what Americans should be ready for.

"Worst case scenario, what should they expect if this happens," Vega asked White House press secretary Jen Psaki on Tuesday.

"If Russia decides to invade, there could be consequences here at home, and that could have an impact on energy prices, which could have an impact on prices at the gas pump," Psaki said.

"He also wanted to be very clear and direct with the American people about what the impact could be and the fact that in his view, defending democracy and liberty is never without costs, but we need to convey to the American people exactly what that could look like."

MORE: NATO defense ministers 'gravely concerned' by Russian military buildup
Psaki said "all options are on the table" to help bring down the price of gasoline and President Biden has been trying to get ahead of a major impact by shoring up supplies with allies and energy producers.

"We are taking active steps to alleviate the pressure on our own energy markets and offset rising prices," said Biden.

Russian army tanks are loaded onto railway platforms to move back to their permanent base after drills in Russia.
Several Democratic senators have introduced legislation to temporarily suspend the 18.5 cents per gallon federal gas tax for the remainder of the year to help bring the price at the pump down. During a news conference on inflation Wednesday, Republican senators called the proposal a "gimmick" and criticized the Biden administration's energy policies that they say have punished American producers and increased foreign reliance on Russian energy.

"One of the best ways we can thwart Putin's use of energy as a weapon against our NATO allies is actually produce more energy that we can supply to them. Everybody agrees with that, except for a few far-left individuals in the White House who somehow came in and won the debate about 'let's unilaterally disarm American energy,'" Sen. Dan Sullivan, R-Alaska, said.

The White House has not taken a position on the proposal.

In January, senior administration officials said they had been working with countries in North Africa, Asia, Europe and Asia to "ensure the continuity of supply" and lessen the price shock that comes with a shortage.

President Biden discussed global energy supplies with King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud on Feb. 9 and when he hosted Qatar's Amir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani at the White House on Jan. 31.

Despite the outreach and calls to pump more oil, Saudi Arabia has decided to abide by a five-year-old deal between OPEC+ countries and will not increase its production to full capacity, according to The Wall Street Journal.

I didn't see or hear of any of that. I looked up the statue and looks like they put the flag over the statue and put a sign on it. Didn't see it being "damaged'. Nor any property.

Don't see any means to call the Emergency Measures Act but a pussy move because they aren't stopping. That quickly got struck down.

I mean Putin could’ve just rearrange his strategy and hit on another day.
Maybe Biden asked him to let all Americans leave first

US hopes India to stand by its side if Russia invades Ukraine

PTI / Feb 17, 2022, 08:32 IST

WASHINGTON: India is committed to rules-based international order, the United States said Wednesday, hoping that New Delhi would stand by its side in case of an impending Russian invasion of Ukraine.
During the recently concluded Quad ministerial in Melbourne that included foreign ministers from Australia, India, Japan and the United States, State Department Spokesperson Ned Price said there was a discussion of Russia and Ukraine.
"There was a strong consensus in that meeting that there needs to be a diplomatic -- a peaceful resolution to this. One of the core tenants of the Quad is to reinforce the rules based on international order," he said.
"And that is a rules-based order that applies equally in the Indo-Pacific as it does in Europe as it does anywhere else. We know that our Indian partners are committed to that rules-based international order. There are any number of tenets in that order. One of them is that borders cannot be redrawn by force," Price said in response to a question.

"That large countries cannot bully small countries. That only the people of a particular country can be in a position to choose their foreign policy, their partnerships, their alliances, their associations. Those are principles that apply equally in the Indo-Pacific as they do in Europe," he said in an apparent reference to the aggressive behaviour by China against its neighbours including India.

Price said Secretary of State, Tony Blinken, and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar discussed defense issues, but refrained from commenting if there was any discussion on potential actions under the Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act (CAATSA).
"There was a discussion of our broad defense relationship, but I wouldn't want to characterize it beyond that," Price said.
Earlier in the day, Secretary of State Tony Blinken said that the US is doing everything it possibly can to seek a peaceful resolution to the crisis Moscow has "needlessly precipitated".
"But those efforts, as we've said, will be effective only if the Russian Federation is willing to de-escalate," Price told reporters.

"To be very, very clear, we have not seen that. In fact, we have seen the opposite in recent weeks and even in recent days. More Russian forces, not fewer, are at the border and they are moving concerningly into fighting positions. This is cause for profound concern. At the same time, and as we've warned previously, over the past several weeks we've also seen Russian officials and Russian media plant numerous stories in the press," he said.
The state department spokesperson alleged that any one of these could be elevated to serve as a pretext for an invasion.
"This could happen, we are concerned, at any time and the world should be ready for it. It could involve claims about Ukrainian military activity in the Donbas, false claims of US or NATO activities on land at sea or air, even claims of Ukrainian or NATO incursions into Russian territory," he said.

"We are particularly concerned about President (Vladimir) Putin and other Russian officials, their ongoing mentions of 'genocide' in Donbas. There is no basis of truth to any of these allegations.
"This, however, has not stopped the Russians from advancing these false claims to include reports of unmarked mass graves of civilians allegedly killed by Ukrainian armed forces and statements that the United States or Ukraine are developing biological or chemical weapons, the latter for use in the Russian controlled territories," he said.
The Kremlin has repeatedly denied it has plans to attack Ukraine but demanded that NATO never admit Ukraine and other ex-Soviet nations as members and the military alliance roll back troop deployments in former Soviet bloc nations.
