There are a lot of upper middle/upper class Black people all in these areas even in Plainfield which is considered the Black town because it actually has multiple economic classes living in the same town but not in the same area and plenty of whites too. I am never hesistant if I am in Bridgewater but Mountainside.

Those cops though. It isn't like Bridgewater isn't sprawling with all types of people. Even short hills mall is full of different people now..not just whites.

I live in the area also. About 8 minutes away. Bridgewater itself is only @2.5% black. But like you said, many different types of people come through the area because of jobs, rout 22, 287 and 202 and 206. Somerville is right next door. But the further you go away, to Raritan, Hillsborough etc. It gets white as hell.

You mentioned Mountainside. Fuck those cops. They patrol one mile of 22 like it's under attack from aliens. Don't even drive through there unless your paperwork is premium. Scumbags.

Damn that was fucked up. Lady cop pretty much just put her hand on whiteboy Rick like calm down son (before and after) and went to assist with the black kid when the other cop had him completely under control.

It's not like the Mayberry town I live in, it's turning hood mostly because many of the Black youth beLIEve if you're Black you have to behave a certain way and if you don't you aren't Black

And Black people are "supposed" to be hood

I didn't come out here under the delusion that racism is over, nor did I come out here with the belief that my family would be treated fairly.

I came out here for the peace and quiet. No helicopters, no police sirens.

Black people do need to start treating each other better.

Black people need to stop at hearing to the belief that they have to live up to the black stereotype in order to be black and maybe we can have a community with a majority Black population and minimal incidents where the residents feel safe

The video, which was taken by a bystander, appears to show the two teens arguing and then they begin to throw punches at each other. Shortly after, two Bridgewater Township police officers arrived at the scene and broke up the altercation. However, only the Black teenager, who was identified as an eighth grader named Kye, was handcuffed after being thrown to the ground, the video showed.

"They basically tackle me to the ground and then the one - the male officer put his knee in my back and then he starts putting me in cuffs," Kye told ABC News station WABC in New York, in an interview that aired Tuesday night. "And then the female officer came over and put her knee on my upper back too and started helping putting cuffs on me. And while (the other teenager) was just sitting down on the couch watching the whole thing."
