Not trying a back and forth with you as I legitimately am curious but what AEW hardcores HERE is making this a competition?
Someone just literally on the last page shared a tweet (among countless others posted in this thread) about how this week's Dynamite beat Raw in the "key demo". If there is no competition between AEW and WWE here, why do folks constantly care about who beat who in the key demo?

Question here for everyone.

Who were y'all favorite wrestlers as a kid? Did anyone have an odd unusual wrestler they were fans of?

My faves were Hogan, Macho Man, Sting, Warrior.

My one odd fave was Barry Windham. That superplex and vaulting over for the pin was cool looking.
My favorite wrestler as a kid in the WWF was The Ultimate Warrior. I also liked the Million Dollar Man because of the character.
Like a lot of kids (and to some extent still to this day), I was more attracted to the big characters and not so much the technical experts.
It's why I never really cared much for Brett Hart growing up.

In WCW (which I got into a bit later in the early 90s), it was Ric Flair, Sting and Doom.
Early 90s WCW while not financially successful, was maybe my favorite era of WCW.

I liked what I saw from her in the Jade match. She has promise. Congrats to her getting a contract. From my understanding she was trained by Booker T.

I was watching a YouTube news video and it was said people backstage, and Cargill herself were blaming her for the awkwardness of their match.

I thought she did fine. Liked what I saw with her.

I thought she did well too. And it's worth it to keep her around.

wasnt she in NXT for a minute
It’s bugged out AEW not only took NXT spot as the WWE mainstream super Indy alternative but NXT effectively became development for AEW. It seems like half their wrestlers are NXT favs that WWE ignored, didn’t use or were fired before getting a chance.
Vince wants 80's type wrestlers (cartoon characters, giants and super heroes)

I was a big fan of Ron Garvin and Gentleman Chris Adams. I think they qualify as unusual...lol.

My favs were Roddy Piper, Ric Flair, Midnight Express, Road Warriors, and Jake the Snake. Unusual would be George the Animal Steele heel version. I mostly liked the heels.

Thinking back we didn't have many brothas to cheer or root for during my childhood. There was JYD who I don't think u ever really saw on tv besides the cartoon show. We had KoKo B Ware who was cool. Kamala& Bad News Brown were just a heels (i remember his feud with Piper evolving sewer rats HaHa). Doom and Ron Simmons got a face push.

So the wrestler who has been classically trained was awkward vs the one who is still green as hell?!?! Yep Jade is gonna fit in JUST fine into this wrestling industry! Next we'll start calling HER the golden shovel!

Honestly I took that as talking points or conversation starters, but I understand your perspective on that.

We may hate the product but we don't want WWE to fail. The current landscape isn't big enough to support all the wrestlers if WWE were to go under. We're just tired of the product that Vince thinks is superior and we don't understand the WWE apologists. It isn't a competition for one to defeat the other it's a "competition" to get Vince to change course.

I had to go back and watch this match because I don't watch SmackDown and was surprised by how good it was. They actually gave Naomi and Charlotte time to tell a story. The finish was a little awkward but it was very solid. As far as Charlotte/Ronda they're just doing that to sell tickets. The match will probably suck but they don't care. As long as it puts people in seats that's all that matters.

I'm a Homer for Memphis Mid South wrestling. I was fan of all that came through. Jimmy Hart kept a rotation of mufuccas in his First Family faction the came in an fought the hometown hero Jerry Lawler. I would say Jerry is my favorite because he made most of the big time wrestlers famous But never held A WWE title.

Like it or not, Charlotte vs. Rhonda is a bigger draw than with Naomi.
Looks like Naomi is getting a bit of a push now tagging with Rhonda at Elimination Chamber.
Hopefully she doesn't get forgotten about as soon as its over. She's pretty much the female Kofi Kingston.

I watched Smackdown on fast-forward last night, but I watched that from start to finish. Naomi can go in the ring. And is crazy over. The problem is, with Becky, Charlotte, Sasha, and Bayley to extent, they only know one way to book a female champion. They seem to just fumble faces as champions, and even worse when the champion is female.

But they have who they have to carry the weekly shows, and have who they want to use for ppvs. It's like they have this booking algorithm.
