1986 Special Report: "The Vanishing Black Family"

Stopped at about 15 seconds becauseI heard what sounded like a white man interviewing those young black women. Where does this go?

It talks about how government assistance pushed men out of the house etc.
That did happen. I just hate how they routinely fail to acknowledge the role of hard coded racism in every last institution of this country, since before and after the end of slavery, leading so many black families to be in need of pubic assistance. At that time it was all still in full swing with every state, local and federal government entity. The same can be said of near every private and public corporation of any size. In that hour and half video did they mention the recommendations of the 1968 Kerner Commission?

At the end they had a roundtable discussion with some black leaders including Jesse Jackson. They discussed a lot

I guess what I found interesting is that on a broader scale black people have always gotten crumbs in this country, and its by design. Fast forward 35 years and we're dealing with the same issues!

$350 a month for a single mother of 2 or 3 kids in 1986 did just enough to keep them fed, from causing "too much" disruption, and more damage than good long term; exacerbating really all the issues we already had and promoting dependency. This shit is by design, to keep black people as the permanent underclass.

I listen to Dr. Claud Anderson talk about how white people got free land, acres by the thousands, all throughout mid-west and the west coast, and how they were able to live off the land for generations, generating wealth.

I think we're saying the same thing. Black people in america have always, and continue to be held down by pervasive, systemic, institutional racism and afforded bare minimum opportunities to perpetuate their continued exploitation. :dunno:

Anywhere the govt has been involved in the black family or community they have mismanaged it.

We cannot trust nor depend on them for direction, policy, structure, or protection concerning our community.

We have yet find a way to separate while keeping access to opportunities available from this country's economy.

they couldn't force black women to choose a government check over a man. that's on them. coupled with the feminism push at that time, they felt they were independent...while depending on a check. black families destroyed, less political capital, less family money. they can make all the media bs they want. it's up to the individual to make that decision. Women are easily manipulated by media and propaganda.

This was hard to watch for me, since I grew up in a similar way. As kids, we did not know we were poor until we were forced to attend integrated schools by way of busing. It was then that we realized we were different and the other kids made damn sure that we knew we were not equal to them.

Parents quickly moved us back to the schools in our neighborhood, which were 100% black students and teachers. Infinite credit to those teachers for what they did for the students. The majority of us excelled and went on to obtain undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees. As students, we behaved differently since we all knew that the teachers would beat our asses if we misbehaved. Many kids tried the teachers and learned the hard way that those teachers were not putting up with the foolishness in and out of the classrooms. It was about the learning.

Yeah. White vets also. Blacks vets were denied GI BILL and VA Home after WW2

easily manipulated by media and propaganda.
And just ignore that it was systemically planned, huh?
Not talking on individual level man, think broader.

It's human nature that people will take the path of least resistance when presented with one.

Again, its by design.

cacs STAAAAAAAAAYYY studying US..

and this is a FACT we as a people really

dont comprehend....!

when we start studying THEM with the same INTENSITY..

Probably get roasted for this but, I believe achieving equal and fair voting right will help. It will take a while, perhaps longer than my lifetime, and won't solve all our problems. Still, it could make a big difference if we're able to magnify and concentrate our political will to select and install candidates that are accountable to us in higher level offices.

ok but that's not going to change.

what you can change is your individual mind.

tv shows gay dudes making out all the time. you going to get some man love because you have no other choice?

This just didn't start in the 80's but since we've been here in this country as slaves.

Fast forward it's 2022 and how many women with kids wear this title "Single Parent" both black and white?it's normal as hell now to just claim it.

What you expect, women were fed the bullshit that they could do bad all by themselves and were given welfare to support their dreams of independent women, while men were fed the bullshit dream of being a Pimp or a player. On top of this, the women were convinced that players were cool and good men to fuck and get pregnant by, while the men were convinced that getting more women pregnant was a sign of being cool.
Movies and TV were both programs used to literally program us, and we fell for it hook line and sinker.

According to statistics it ramped up during the '70s because back then 85% (close to that too busy to google check, but I know it's close) of all black births came from married couples to today 72% born out of wedlock.
Of course, there are going to be some people who will stick their heads understand, and try to mitigate these factual numbers, believing all we have to do is sweep all the negative shit under the rug, and somehow it's supposed to equate to black power!

What is stopping you from doing this? As long as your statistics and fact are correct, there is no reason why your study won't be taken seriously.

HA!

Bruh I studied them MORE than they studied us... they make it too easy to

to do... and then when you combine that with knowing your TRUE HISTORY

and not the scripted one, you realize the wizard really aint a wizard

I remember having many female family move from IN to Minnesota in the 80s because “the welfare paid more”. I was young as hell but thought the logic made no goddamn sense. Out of 7 or 8, exactly ONE made something of her life outside of depending on the system. The rest? One married a dude with a heavy industry steel job so she eats good because of him. The others all have jumped from state to state chasing benefits until the states and feds slammed that hustle, and for the past 20+ years they’ve just survived. From the projects (when they existed) to section 8 waivers. Ain’t a life I’d want but hey, do you. A couple of their kids are in the same situation, but with far less of the benefits since it ain’t that 80s welfare money in 2022.
