Jay-z on DMX

Love Hov but he should've known going after X was a mistake.
It's not like the man didn't warn people .... "after me, it's over. I'ma take the whole verse. Tried to keep it real that's why I let you n****s go first."

Anyone who ever saw X perform live know that going on stage after he did the prayer was a no-no.

I saw the Hard Knock Life tour when it came to So Cal, Jay wasn't lying.

Meth & Red's show was crazy too, to have to follow those 2 acts is tough because their shows were so energetic. Folks had been screaming, jumping up and down, and singing all the songs at the top of their lungs for 1 1/2 or 2 hours before Jay hit the stage. A lot folks around us were tired, some straight up lifeless, but I think Jay did his thing and got the energy of the arena back up.

You ain't neva lied. People leave a Red & Meth show looking like they just left the gym.

DMX was awesome. The first time I saw Get At Me Dog I stripped naked in my living room with the blinds open and started putting my balls against the window. I really enjoyed his career.

DMX wasn’t the greatest lyricist but he was a hell of an artist. Had the money and clearly had the women but it was never about that. It was about the pain and suffering of all the cruddy folks out there.

Paging @Amajorfucup

I don’t think clothes are natural. If God wanted us clothed he would of made us clothed. DMX’s music made me comfortable in my skin enough to strip away society’s pretensions. I also stripped to All About The Benjamins too.

And I guess if he wanted our balls on the window he would’ve made us with windows.

carry on…..

So the video itself is a classic example of less is more. We've all seem this video or heard this story before. Whoever made the video and thought it was a good idea to put music in it fucked up the story AND left out parts of the story.

Same story without all the extraness

Historically you've always been off...

Back in 2011 you called people who invested in Bitcoin Fools. Can you imagine how much black wealth people who listened to you missed out on?

Yeah, you must be a bitter female, at least on the inside.

Whadafuck! Dude has the pandemic fucked up the delivery schedule of your meds???

^^^I bet the guys hustling outside your block was saying to each other ! There's never a fool with a .22 when you need one".ap

I see DMX at the Stratford Rex in London when he was here promoting his first album. Westwood had him up on BBC Radio 1s "The Rap Show" crazy interview.
I've seen a few shows going back to Run DMX. LL, Beastie in Lonndon in 86 and PE, Stetsaonic, JVC crew in 88 and plenty of other sover the years working security. But DMX had the maddest, livest show! I'm blessed to have that memory. And in true fashion of a rap show I came out of there with 3 broken ribs because some prick started letting off shots with a silenced automatic, zing, zing, zing, bulbs breaking ceiling turning to dust! I got crushed in the crowd trying to get out of there. He was about 20 feet from me in the bar. Still my best show though and not the first or last time I've been around gunplay in the club.
