Good segment. Brandi getting go away heat. Finally Paige VanZant shows up. I guess after months of training they're ready to put her in the ring. The actual match will be horrible but they need to protect Paige like they did Jade. Brandi can't go over Paige.

Brandi just needs to go away. She adds nothing to the show and in fact, takes away from it. I am glad to see PVZ back though.

So Kendrick posted antisemitic remarks on social media that caught up with him today?

Welp.... grand opening grand closing.
Dude doesn't draw enough to put up with all that negative PR. Tony just needs to cut him already and move on.

[In my Henry Hill narration voice] It was revenge for the Royal Rumble and a lot of other things. And there was nothing we could do about it. Vince was a made man and Shane wasn't. We had to sit there and take it. It was amongst father and son; real family drama shit. They even cut out his tongue so he couldn't talk about later on Jericho's podcast.

I’m in agreement with the fam’. Top 5 level post. This will be brought up for years to come.

I would only be behind this if it led to the end of the brand split. Otherwise it makes no sense.

If they do, it only solidifies the belief that they can't make another star, and they're going to hot potato the title between Brock and Roman, and Drew and Bobby are the back-ups.

Nope I can already see it Brock is Champ/Champ and back to the part-time schedule. Every other PPV, drops it around Summer Slam only to return at the Royal Rumble to win and get the belt back for WrestleMania

WWE does this shit all time
they dont really believe in a guy, but finally give him the belt, set up him for failure (give em a short meaningless run) than demote them cause they didnt get/stay over (Kofi, Bianca, Sasha, Daniel Bryan 1st run before he was forced to retire)

how long did E have the belt?
what his most memorable feud during his reign?
did he win any PPV matches?
was he ever treated like a real main eventer?

dude was all over the place from ESPN to Showtime promoting himself and the company but I guess that brass ring can be little slippery if you aint one of the choosen. Oh well I guess its all relative. He got his 1st reign quicker than Kofi & Bobby. At this rate we should get another new black champ in 3-5 years

WWE needs to do what I called for years ago:

Combine the WWE and Universal titles and just have ONE top Company wide Heavyweight Championship Title.

Have the US and IC titles be the top titles on Raw and Smackdown respectively.

Let the World Heavyweight Champion defend his championship only on the big PPVs against challengers from either branded show....

Basically let the World Champ jump between shows as needed.

Let the US and IC Champions defend their titles weekly on Raw and Smackdown.

The WWE/Universal Championship should only be defended during WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble or whichever BIG overseas shows they do.

Doing so keeps the top title "important" and meaningful yet it gives the lower/midcard talent a chance to chase a meaningful title on the weekly shows.

BRUH - I'VE THOUGHT THE SAME THING. Have the US and IC titles lead to being the #1 contender if you can hold on to it for certain length of time.

Lolz at cats thinking investors are going to demand Vince get pushed out….

In 2021, we reached a significant milestone of over $1 billion in revenue, for the first time in the Company’s history. We ended the year with strong performance across each of our business lines that reflected the engagement of a wider audience with distribution on new digital platforms, including Peacock, and the return of fans at our live events,” said Vince McMahon, WWE Chairman & CEO. “We expect the execution of key initiatives in the coming year, such as the licensing of network content in international markets, monetization of new original series, and the continued shift to a stadium strategy for WWE’s premium live events, will further expand the reach of our brands and enhance the value of our content.”

Wow, that might have been the first DQ I've ever seen in AEW. It turns out Mercedes Mendez was hired by Britt Baker to take Thunder Rosa out. So they're starting to slow burn the Rosa/Baker feud. Baker's days as champ are officially numbered now.

But this was due to the money that didn't go to venues and crews moving and setting up multiple days a week for Raw, Smackdown and house shows! This wasn't some ingenious cost cutting venture that Vince thought up. If you think they had a full unionized crew setting up and maintaining the Thunderdome you're buggin'

This pandemic was VERY good for Vince, now that people don't give a shyt anymore you're back to renting out venues, traveling costs and a full unionized crew. Lets see what that bottom line looks like April of 2023!

This is a GREAT idea, but they have done such a disservice to those belts that you just can't make them "top" belts. Damian Priest is the US champ, I am not being facetious asking but what real, good feud has he had with that title? IC belt was hot potato'ed between Zayn and Nak and then didn't Big E lose it to Crews? There is nothing going on with those belts that makes people care about them. Hell the only reporting ESPN or Fox Sports does for the WWE is the major title(s) for the men and women.

Exactly. They essentially made all that money because they didn't have the costs of touring because of the pandemic.

Jay Lethal/Ricky Starks: Good match. Both guys did some solid work here. This is probably Starks's best match in AEW to date. Loved the ending. Starks's counter to the Lethal Injection was perfectly executed. A thing of beauty.

I REALLY want to like Starks, but he just ain't there yet. It is like something is missing. Maybe it is him as a heel, I don't know. But he is a star in the making.
