Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians fined $50K for striking safety Andrew Adams

TAMPA, Fla. -- Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians has been fined $50,000 by the NFL for swiping his hand at safety Andrew Adams' helmet during the wild-card game against Philadelphia on Sunday.

Arians was attempting to move Adams, who was trying to pull a player out of a pile after a muffed punt by Jalen Reagor, which would have drawn a penalty. He can be seen slapping Adams' helmet hard with an open hand and then elbowing him.

Adams wasn't penalized on the play.
"I'll appeal it," Arians said Wednesday. "It ain't got nothing to do with the game, so we're good."

A source told ESPN that the note to Arians stated that he displayed "conduct directed towards your players that fell below standards expected of an NFL head coach."

Last month, then-Jacksonville Jaguars coach Urban Meyer came under increased scrutiny when former kicker Josh Lambo told the Tampa Bay Times that Meyer had kicked him during warm-ups at a practice. Meyer was fired the next day, but it was for a litany of issues.
Arians was asked Monday whether he regretted making physical contact with a player.

"No," Arians said. "I've seen enough dumb. You can't pull guys out of a pile. We just got a big play, great field position, and he's trying to pull a guy out of a pile and I was trying to knock him off that guy so he didn't get a penalty."

This is fair. BA needs to keep his hands to his self.

Dude is 70 and is lucky that guy didn't react and push him and break his hip or some shit.

I think this might be the most i have ever heard the Cowboys talked about, i really did not know they were loved or hated this much.

Why are people giving a team that lose, the promotion or attention of a Super Bowl winner? Treat them like the Browns or Lions when they lose, thats how you hurt Jerry or if you hate the organization. Not talking about them will hurt them more. Look at WFT, nobody cares what they do anymore like 80's and 90's, they are not even discussed no more, 30 year drought. They were America's Team #2 for decades.

Its like hearing a Ku Klux Klanmen talk about how much they hate blacks and jew, damn, WE GET IT.

I went to a barber shop today, nigga said , " I give up, this shit broke me." How the fuck is one game going to break you when only 4 teams have won 3 SBs or more in the last 30 years, and only one team is going to win? Raiders, 49ers, WFT, Bears, etc.. have longer winning SB droughts, don't see their fans complaining.

Another dude said, "Cowboys losing, that's my Super Bowl" WTF, its still NFL games left, and your team won only 5 games, and you are losing sleep over the Cowboys? Thats a mental illness

How did Jerry get 41 million people watch the Cowboys, and TB can't get half of that and they are reigning SB champs and GOAT QB? :roflmao3:

Jerry put a spell on Cowboys fans and Cowboys haters for life. People can't move the fuck on...

Fuck the Cowboys, stop stuffing Jerry's pockets, focus on the new Champs.

Give GB, Buffalo, KC, TB, Rams, or Titans that same energy and passion.

Question: If Green Bay don't get out of the NFC again this year, will he catch that Dak smoke?

Aaron Rodgers probably has choked more than any qb in playoffs in history, and might have the most playoff losses of any starting qb, like Drew Brees and Peyton Manning. He should have at least 3 to 5 SB's, minimum, had plenty of first round byes. How can you have over 30 years of consecutive HOF Quarterbacking, maybe 2 of the top 10 or 15 qbs of all time, and only have 2 SB's in the last 50 years?

He'll certainly catch smoke but Rodgers has elite CAC QB privilege so it won't be with any real vitriol. If and when HE stinks up the field, everyone else catches most of the blame before a reluctant finger is pointed in his direction.

I CAN say though that a good portion of the fanbase was livid about his off-season antics and wasn't having any parts of a Favre 2.0 situation. CACs were big mad at his ass 'round here.

Rodgers didn't choke. It has been either Defense, Special Teams gaffes, or contested/shitty calls that have cost GB trips to additional Super Bowls.
Favre went back to back Bowls but Denver pulled it off on the second trip.

Rodgers' Achilles heel is when they're lagging behind and he goes into desperation mode trying to catch up when he's frustrated.
