He's the cat that would get laid off and tell the company that they're still giving him checks 3 weeks after he is gone.
Booker is a caricture at this point. Anything to keep that WWE check. Shuckey Duckey should sue his ass for stealing his shit too. Aye Book people are leaving because they're talent is being wasted because the owner short sighted as fuck. Look at Riccochet. Fans wanna get behind him but Vince don't see it. Wanted to call up Adam Cole and change his name and make him a manager!!??

Hell Aleister Black! This motherfcuker spent more time in catering than in the ring in WWE.

Damn, Hook looked great out there. His movement and transitions were fluid. Move execution very solid. The only thing I don't really like is his look. He looks like a dork. The kid has got a bright future if that's what we can expect from him going forward.

Just saw that Rampage. Hook can go. No doubt. Gave Fuego that work. Taz taught him well.

Sammy had a horrible TNT reign. Had no significant feuds with the title. A lot of it I believe is due to the flawed "open challenge" system that AEW has for that title. Because anybody can challenge it doesn't allow for proper fueds to develop leaving the matches heatless.

I'm not mad at Cody winning. I find it hilarious. He can use the heat from winning the title again to generate even more heat.

Does AEW have enough programming for all of the people they are hiring & their original roster? I don't watch either. But I do like this thread. Seems like AEW may fall into the same trap with too much talent & not enough time. So guys are going to sit on the sidelines for weeks waiting to job to a more "over" wrestler.

And that is kinda my fear, but I think what they might be doing is rotating guys out. They give them this open door policy to work other promotions or just take time off when they don't have anything going at the moment. Currently Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley, Brian Cage and Christian Cage (not to sure about him) Are either taking time off or working other promotions. But when they come back they can be inserted into new story lines.

I think people have talked that WWE should do something along those lines. Like seasons. I guess I'd ask how their contracts work with extended time? So if they've been rotated out to work other promotions, do they then stop getting paid by AEW & paid by other promotion? Or does AEW still pay them? If it's the latter, that's going to become unwieldy if they aren't making the company money by being on the parent promotion.

I know they have All Elite (permanent) & temporary wrestlers. AEW just seems more hardcore fan based. So unless the goal isn't making money I don't see how you can hire so many former WWE guys & keep everyone happy before it just becomes WCW.

Nah you can't just no sell a pile driver. It made sense for Taz having a frolic neck and returning for neck surgery. Hook shouldn't be no selling a driver. :smh:

Legacies use their dad's stuff. It's always going to happen and especially when they are working stories with their parents. I have no issue with the no-sell. If every Anoa'i can be immune to headbutts this gets a pass too. lol

I would think their pay goes down somehow. Maybe some kind of retaining pay and then when you're done on the road or taking a break you get your full pay.

I had the idea of injuries or some kind of rehab. You get that retaining pay, but they pay for the full surgery/rehab so you have some kind of pay to take care of your family/bills while getting better.

I agree.

One, it's a homage spot.

Two, pile drivers are barely used as finishers any more. Sure, it used to be Rikishi's finisher, but that was back when a super kick or a cutter would end a match, now everybody under 250lbs does 5 super kicks or cutters per match.

After seeing people kick out of 2nd rope Tombstones and apron Canadian Destroyers, it's hard for me to be outraged about this spot.

Cody knows what he's doing. His story going forward will be one of the most interesting of 2022.

Yeah I'm just not a Cody guy anymore. I feel like he's way too forced and he's no top talent.

Also, they(young talent) need to get back to selling moves. It sucks and he's(hook) way to small to not sell a pile driver
