Gemma Chan better be careful...

It can happen in the U.S. just as easily, I have seen it. You need to have multiple passports and citizenships; don't tie yourself down to one place. One bad move or a change in political leadership that want to scapegoat you for their ineptness and it can go downhill fast.

:yes:

Waiting to see if the WTA will fold like the NBA. :dunno:
You know they will, but I don't blame them. Money does that. Ask all the virtue signaling frauds. Folks on their 'made in China' iPhones wanting others to do shit about China. I ain't going to say shit about anyone because I ain't giving up my Chinese shit so I shouldn't ask them to give up their checks.

Funny how we talk about China. NYC is trying to pass a law saying anyone unvaccinated can be put in a “medical camp” indefinitely.

But China is a totalitarian country, and the US most Democratic city is a bastion of freedom.

Be careful when you point fingers.

I generally dislike posting articles. USA Today, however, is at least as credible as NYT, I suppose.

I would be interested to know the source of your claim.

:yes::yes::yes:
A lot of people quote and reference the book 1984.
Most of them have not actually read it.

If you have not read 1984, or have not read it in recent years,
it might be a very interesting read right about now.

This sounds a lot like what happened to people when they were ratted on by their
neighbors in 1984.
You disappear. You come back (maybe) very different, disavowing whatever you said or did
that the state did not like.

This is where the U.S. is headed. Democracy my ass.
