UBER DRIVER LEGALLY PROTECTS HIMSELF. NO RITTENHOUSE

MAYFAIR - Police say an Uber driver shot and killed and man and badly injured another during an attempted robbery overnight in Mayfair.

Investigators from the Philadelphia Police Department said a group of three armed men approached the driver as he was getting out of his car on the 3200 block of Longshore Avenue just after midnight Saturday.

The driver, who police say is licensed to carry a firearm, shot at least two of the alleged robbers several times and may have injured the third. The men, both in their 20s, were taken by responding officers to Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital where one died.

Oh well they old enough to know, ya play with fire,

I don’t think they were asking for his occupation when selecting their potential target.. probably wanted the whip and anything in it , plus whatever they can get from his pockets.. the news just wanted to put his career in the vid for whatever reason
Yeah but putting his profession in the mix could cause him to lose his job. And if that’s his only means of income then he’s screwed.

i drive Uber, Amazon Flex and Favor… can’t remember the policy but I don’t think Uber is too keen on having their drivers strapped… with Flex and Favor there aren’t any passengers so it doesn’t matter… still I don’t think you are supposed to be packing

Dang aren't you a chiropractor too or was that someone else?

Either way props to you for hustling.

Yeah just checked and Uber prohibits riders and drivers from carrying unless their following TSA rules which is the firearm must be unloaded and stored in a hard sided container in the trunk of the car.

BUT

I don’t think that Uber and their policy can override the state’s laws concerning the legal carrying of a firearm.
