Very flawed logic! I know next to nothing of ventilators so I'm not chiming in on the merits or flaws of ventilators but ....... the reasoning she's using to support her argument is flawed beyond belief! If a certain apparatus is typically ordered for people given a near death prognosis, then they subsequently die, that does NOT necessarily mean the apparatus killed them. You're presumed to be in grave condition when they place you on the thing, one would think. I hate hearing female logic being expressed. I get more than enough of that shit at home.

That report and all the data they used to approximate those numbers have been debunked, multiple times. It's easily referenced. But any is too many.
Dog, your body doesn't "see" something doing its job for it so it just stops functioning. When your heart stops and someone performs CPR or you're in the OR and they need to start your heart back up, your heart doesn't take this as a sign to take some "time off"!

So the people in here are once again amazingly stupid. Ventilators don't tell your body that it's time to give up or that you're ready to die. When it comes to covid they put you on a ventilator because as it gets harder and harder for you to breathe you actually exhaust the muscles that control your breathing. So while you will notice it in the daytime and you can actively fight to keep breathing when you go to sleep your muscles can't keep up with the effort. Now being on a ventilator means if you're on for long-term you have to get weaned off the ventilator.
I know all this because I've said here before because of covid someone close me and my family had to get a double lung transplant. Since they were close to me and my family my wife, who is a doctor, had to listen in on some of the conversations and the conversation specifically about ventilators came up.
The internet has made a bunch of people that really think they can Google more info than medical professionals that have been doing this for YEARS.
I know all this because I've said here before because of covid someone close me and my family had to get a double lung transplant.
