Google about they money. Shiiiiiiiiiiiiit they bought YouTube for 1.65 billion. Google makes 1.65 billion quarterly from YouTube ad revenue. Roku will lose that battle.

Roku really been flexing on companies due to their market share. NBC with peacock, HBO Max and now Google.

Youtube is slowly turning into pbs, abc, cnn, disney, cartoon net, own, fox, msnbc channels.. If your not spreading the official narrative they are slowly removing those channels!! We are slowly having our freedoms removed and erased!! But, who cares?? HUH

This had me worried for a sec. My nephews always come over and watch YouTube stiuff. My brother recently started discovering the content and now watches it all the time, too. As long as they don't lose access, I'm straight.

Something like this happened with Amazon Fire where they stopped letting you use the YouTube app and had to use a Web browser app to go to YouTube. After like a month, they brought the app back.

I got two micro PC's connected to my largest flat screen TV's. I have my admin account on both and guest accounts that way no one can login as me and access my shit.

PC supports Wi-Fi and bluetooth so I can connect via my bluetooth headphones if I don't want to disturb the room. HDMI connection from PC to TV makes it even easier.

As a result I haven't used my Roku devices in about 6 months.

I even stream Netflix movies right from Netflix.com using Firefox.

Because of Ghostery addin for Edge and Firefox I watch YouTube with no ads for free.

I was about to say that my brother is going to have a fit if they pull it from existing users and not just block new downloads, but they are just going to block new downloads.

What’s this dell device?

Roku gonna lose in the end...too small to win against Google or Amazon....TCL TVs now come with Android TV too so Roku no longer has a monopoly on their biggest money maker

I have no doubt that Google wanted preferential treatment but Roku is up against it

We use Roku boxes, can't complain. They also had an issue with Spectrum a few months back, but that was resolved too. :dunno:

It's a Dell micro PC.

Any micro PC will do, the smaller size makes it easy to hide in cabinet.

Get a wireless mouse and keyboard and you all set.

Doesn't have to be an expensize micro PC like the link below. It just needs to stream without buffering and have decent graphics and memory.
