Nobody cares that he is leaving his team behind other than the Nets organization because they pay him. The outrage is because he isn't following everyone else and taking the vaccine because he was told too
Yeah thats the new line these inbred hillbillies are putting all over social media.

I understand that in the grand scheme of things it's very miniscule to the real problems black people face. Police were covid before covid to black peopleWhen they show up at the hospital cause they can't breath and say they didn't get vaccinated because of thing they saw on social media...
You understand that misinformation has been a huge problem in fighting this pandemic.
But thats exactly what ESPN and First Take is, a show about the world of sports.

The solution to that is to fix the health care disparity for black people. Diabetes, cancer, high blood pressure are all issues. The terrible food choices in some of these neighborhoods and lack of employment. All these issues were here before covid and made covid that much worse for black people. Again let's look at the macro and not focus on the microWhat's your point?
With all these problems we already got to deal with, the last thing WE need is MORE easily preventable deaths.
like i said yesterday in my post, teachers, healthcare & city govt employees / workers but folks rather make shit up
Yea this isn't truelike i said yesterday in my post, teachers, healthcare & city govt employees / workers but folks rather make shit up
arent heathcare workers city/state employees?Nah not all city workers. Police, CO's, Firefighters, ACS,etc don't need to vaccinated, just take weekly COVID test. That's the power of a union
arent heathcare workers city/state employees?
okay so NOT ALL but teachers healthcare workers and city employees & some who dont directly fall under the ALL jurisdiction,You said healthcare AND city employees. Not all city employees are forced to take the vaccine thus the issue. These same unvaccinated city workers are usually the ones taking issue with wearing masks around people
But not cops and fire fightersokay so NOT ALL but teachers healthcare workers and city employees & some who dont directly fall under the ALL jurisdiction,

https://www.news10.com/news/ny-news...extended-to-all-city-workers-mayor-de-blasio/
NEW YORK — Mayor Bill de Blasio extended the city’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate to include all municipal workers on Monday.
Most city workers will need to get vaccinated by Sept. 13 or face mandatory weekly COVID testing, according to de Blasio.
“It means all city agencies,” the mayor said, “September is when the rubber hits the road and this is when we have to make the difference.”
The mandate comes as concerns over the delta variant, which has become the dominant strain of the virus, continue to grow.
“The delta variant is deadly and this city is taking it seriously,” de Blasio tweeted Monday morning.
“Public employees should not be coming to work if there’s a danger that they will spread a deathly disease to the worker at the next desk or the public that they deal with,” New York Assemblyman Richard Gottfried said.
Last week, the mayor announced all employees at city-run hospitals and health clinics would either need to get vaccinated or have mandatory weekly testing beginning Aug. 2.
Additionally, de Blasio said 45,000 city government employees who work in congregate and residential settings will need to be vaccinated or begin weekly testing on Aug. 16.
The rest of the city’s workforce will have until the Sept. 13 deadline, according to the mayor.
The city will also double up its efforts to enforce mandatory mask wearing among unvaccinated municipal workers beginning Aug. 2.

Mayor de Blasio, Chancellor Porter and Commissioner Chokshi Announce Department of Education Employee Vaccine Mandate
August 23, 2021
Beginning September 27th, City will require proof of vaccination for all New York City Department of Education workersNEW YORK—Mayor Bill de Blasio, Schools Chancellor Meisha Porter and Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Commissioner (DOHMH) Dr. Dave A. Chokshi today announced a new health care mandate requiring all New York City Department of Education employees to provide proof of first dose of vaccination by September 27th.
“Keeping our students and staff healthy is our top priority,” said Mayor Bill de Blasio. “To keep our schools healthy and safe, we are now requiring all Department of Education staff to have at least one dose of the vaccine by September 27. Together, we will create a safe and welcoming school experience for our kids.”
“As a parent, I put the health and safety of my children first, always. Parents can be assured this fall that their school communities and the phenomenal school staff our children interact with every day are protected by safe, effective vaccines,” said Schools Chancellor Meisha Porter. “This is another layer to our multi-layered health and safety strategy and an important step in keeping our school communities safe.”
“The vaccine is both a personal defense against disease and a community defense against spread,” said Health Commissioner Dr. Dave A. Chokshi. “When it comes to younger children, our defenses are their defenses. This is the right policy where it matters most – in our schools.”
This mandate is in alignment with recommendations from the CDC, which has recommended that school teachers and staff be vaccinated as soon as possible because vaccination is the most critical strategy to help schools safely resume fully in the fall. It will apply to all 148,000 Department of Education (DOE) employees, including school-based and central staff, as well as DOE contractors who work in school-based settings. Currently at least 63 percent of DOE employees have at least one dose. This number will continue to increase in the lead-up to the first day of school and reach one hundred percent by September 27th.
Employees will upload proof of their first dose to the DOE Vaccination Portal, which allows all DOE employees and students to provide their vaccination status and to upload proof of vaccination. Accepted uploads can be an image of a vaccination card, NYS Excelsior Pass, or another government record. Submitting this information will support New York City’s pandemic response and recovery efforts, and help ensure that the DOE is a safe place to work for all employees and a safe place to learn for all children.
More information about locations where New Yorkers can receive a vaccine for COVID-19 can be found at vaccinefinder.nyc.gov.
