ppl have used this 'logic's forever. I don't get it. My dad used to hate wearing seatbelts. He thought if he got in accident the belt might trap him. He completely ignored the benefits of wearing the seatbelts cause he focused on an unlikely hypothetical scenario (sounds familiar). He finally started wearing seatbelts when police started giving ppl tickets for not wearing em (seatbelt mandate). Sometimes you cant save ppl from themselves but affecting their livelihood hood or their pockets can change their POV.
