This is what I have notice that some are missing.
We have read several stories of people dying of Covid, particularly parents, and leaving their kids orphaned. The Herman Cain Award thread highlights that. Or those workers resigning or getting fired because they refused the vaccine, but have not plan or way of sustaining themselves financially, which ultimately affects their household.
A buddy of mine was telling me he wasn’t going to get the vaccine. And that he has had Covid and recovered from it. He gives me the usual talking points (survival rates, not knowing what’s in the vaccine, black people’s history in the medical field, etc..)
Then I told him, you have 5 kids. Not once did you mention them in your entire defiance of what you ain’t going to do. The brother loves his children too, but is so stuck on his convictions that he only see how it affects him and not the people around him.
Look at any thread on here about the virus and you will see the same people who literally don't give a fuck about how their decision to not get vaccinated directly impacts others freak out when it is suggested that they won't get the same level of medical care as the vaccinated. At this point it is not stupidity or even indifference but actual callousness. They honestly think they should be free to do whatever the fuck they want regardless of its impact on society as a whole but it is completely unfair for society to direct that same energy back at them.

The company where I work announced that everyone has until Feb 1, 2022 to get vaccinated. They made this announcement in conjunction with the union.
For people who aren't fully vaccinated by then, are suspended without pay for 60 days; to "reconsider" their decision. So, if by like April 1 or whatever, if you still haven't vaccinated....
You have to apply (and be approved) for an exemption. Since this is a joint Union-Company announcement, no grievances, no walkouts, work stoppages or mass- sick call ins.
This was honestly the quietest conference call I've ever been on. THOSE W.Bs were HEATED! lol.
