Yes I have a motorcycle, my pops taught me and my older brother how to ride a dirt bike at 6 years old. Brother was 13 at the time Suzuki Rm 60. My senior year of high school I bought my first bike a 92 Gsxr 1100. I’m on my 15th sports bike 2014 BMW HP4, my last motorcycle.
Yes death comes from motorcycle it’s just very heighten, but death comes from all angles. Car accident deaths happen everyday, people don’t say I’m not getting a car due to death toll. Overall riding a motorcycle is a serious responsibility. I couldn’t give it up I was made like this from my pops. He even still rides and he’s 75( Harley) I just ride to work and home 5mile commute and I work at night.
And yes I went down before 120mph wheelie on my 2011 Gsxr 1000. No broken bones and had my gear on total the bike. Be safe and ride less is the key for longevity in the motorcycle world.
