The only folks who get away with stuff like this are in the GOP. They come together like Voltron to protect their own, regardless of the morals they profess to have. Dems won't stand with their own when there is even the hint of wrong doing, let alone obvious corruption. Also when there is corruption, fabricated or otherwise, the GOP propaganda machine is more effective in going after dems than the other way around.

We have a forum full of people who watched 8 years of Obama and 4 years of Trump, wishing Obama had behaved more like Trump, when we have example after example of why it wouldn't have worked. The other party doesn’t really need talking points. You can talk until you’re blue in the face on certain subjects and they will never get it. It's crazy that just a year ago he was the most popular governor in the country due to his response to Covid-19, so much so that people were hoping he'd run for president instead of Biden.
All I know is if we end up with a republican governor in a couple of years because of this I'm going to be pissed.
