I'm sure they wanted Matt Boling to qualify. He would be the next great white hope. Believe dude is just a sophomore in college, so he may still qualify at some point. He was a big deal here TX, just like Sha'carri. Competition is becomes a lot more competitive when you race against the best across the country and not just your home state. On a side note..kinda funny that both shunned TX and went to SEC schools for college.
