They all think they are the only people who truly worked for where they are in life and are blessed. But the moment they see you doing better than them, or for conservatives doing equally well then the excuses come. "I didn't have affirmative action to get here!" "Whatever 'Business' he's into, I'm sure it's shady!" "What sport did you play?" and for the women "I'm sure she slept her way to the top!" For you to be on their level or surpassing them there has to be something nefarious happening that messed with the natural order of life.
Progressive stereotypes aren't as blatant but still tend to be along the lines that you lucked out.
