So nobody is questioning this dudes jump in power numbers? 33 home runs before the break .....
...

Also, he is getting more ABs this year. His first 2 years he wouldn't hit the day before or after he pitched, nor on days where he pitched. Now he hit's every day, and has even still been DH on days he pitched. He's also slightly modified his swing, and you have to figure he's more used to MLB pitching now.

But make no mistake, he's always had ridiculous power. His rookie year they would show video of dude taking BP, and the players on the other team would be looking on like :eek2:

@jack walsh13

man oh man

funny I don't see no Astros around all of a sudden...

do you?

Yankees need to worry about the Red Sox, Astros comfortably in 1st place. It was proven for a fact by MLB Altuve wasn't involved in the cheating nor did he have a buzzer that some looney on social media spreaded and Yankee fans ran with it. MLB need to release the emails about the Yankees and their cheating.

then cry when you get hit

if its a RIVALRY?

Just take it salute and set the next hit.

Astros aint got no type of moral high ground

hell NO TEAM does

but Astros got a a damn YEAR REPRIEVE from the sh*tstorm

and even THEN didn't keep quiet.

This ALL been a long time coming

Its the Astros TURN

another team gonna get it soon enough

Astros: July Promotional Schedule trolls 2019 Yankees

Time and time again, public relations of professional sports team have free range to joke around with an opposing team entering the stadium they work in. For the Houston Astros, they developed a stacked July promotional schedule that mainly focuses on two series.

The New York Yankees come into town from July 9-11, where every game has a give away for the first 10,000 fans. This does feel like a fun way to rub in the 2019 ALCS victory, no matter the circumstances surrounding it.

The July promotional schedule doesn’t have too many new options, but what should you keep your eye on?

July 9 vs. the Yankees: 2019 AL Champions Trophy

The Astros missed out on their celebrations of the 2019 season in 2020, as the franchise reached its third World Series in team history. The replica trophy is the one that Jose Altuve is holding the image above.

July 10 vs. the Yankees: 2019 AL Champions Ring
While the 2017 World Series rings feel like a more meaningful promotion to take home, it is still a respectable achievement.

July 11 vs. the Yankees: Jose Altuve Replica White Jersey
Everyone knows the swing, the game-winning home run, the Yankee killer that came off the bat of Altuve in game six of the 2019 ALCS. Well, he was wearing that white jersey that fans will be able to take home.

July 23 vs. the Rangers: Lone Star Series T-shirt
The first 10,000 fans will go home with a navy blue shirt that portrays an orange outline of Texas. In the outline, a custom Texas license plate stands showing “HOU*TEX” on it. The asterisk would be a small Texas logo.

July 24 & 25 vs. the Rangers: Alex Bregman & Yordan Alvarez ‘Back2Back’ Bobblehead
These two days will give you a chance to complete the tandem bobble head that has been a reoccurring promotion. Bregman will be available on the 24th and Alvarez on the 25th to the first 10,000 fans.

NEXT: Will the pitching staff benefit with recent shuffle?
If you’re looking for the food deals, Dollar Dog Night will be on the Tuesdays of July 6 and 20 against the A’s and Indians. For drinks and festivities, July 9 against the Yankees and July 23 against the Rangers will have Pregame Happy Hour, while July 24 against the Rangers will include a Summer Street Fest.

For the children, Friday Night Fireworks are on July 9 against the Yankees and July 23 against the Rangers, as July 7 against the Yankees and July 25 against the Rangers on Kids Day are bring back Kids Run the Bases. And for the Star Wars fans, it might not be May 4th, but the Astros have a Star Wars Night add-on for July 23.

We still waiting to see the letters from the Yankees sign stealing scandal...

Hey man good look trying to make the playoffs. The Blue Jays, Rays & Red Sox should be who you need to be worrying more about.

yanks are a complete MESS bro

I have no idea what is going on

I disagree with firing Boone or Cashman

This about the PLAYERS on the field

period

I am NOT a Cashman DEFENDER but all the arguments I hear about firing him fall apart under scrutiny

if ONE MORE PERSON brings up Stick Michaels I swear.

Fire Cashman and he would get another job in a week.

besides being too right handed?

I just can't call it.

We are just not producing

And I do NOT want to trade our home grown talent.

We actually need to LEARN form the Astros front office and scouts

Just how bad is the NL East? With a surprising 2 out of 3 series win the fuckin Phillies are only 3 games back of the Mets, who lost AGAIN in Pittsburgh. :smh: With the 3 out of 4 against the Cubs in Chicago and the 2 out of 3 from the Redsox in Boston it marks the 1st time SINCE 2019 THAT THE FUCKIN PHILLIES WON BACK TO BACK ROAD SERIES WINS. THAT IS ABSOLUTELY FUCKIN RIDICULOUS!!!!:angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry:
