I’m still in the game & very athletic at 38 but I’m a senior leader in the Army; Soldiers, NCOs, & junior officers force you to stay on you shit. I can still hoop & dunk. My fast switch muscles are still there, but I can feel Father Time on my ass.

Keep fighting him bro.

I dislocated my knee at 14, the summer I grew 6 inches, to my present height of 6'5", and that knee has been my bane my entire life but in my prime I was touching the top of the box on the backboard behind the rim. I haven't tried to jump high in over 25 years and wouldn't try it now at 57. I'm satisfied with my active years.

Haven’t been able to ball since this damn pandemic.. jump shot was still wet… been hurt my back so definitely not trying to test my ups.. but will shoot them lil nigs eyes out on the half court game

Whoa you did have David Thompson hops.

Ugh...dislocated both knees in 12th grade. Suffering from major arthritis now.

Never was a dunker.
Only made it to 6 feet and although could touch the rim, was much better at running.
At 44 I doubt I'd be able to touch the rim but I still got a few shots of speed. I stick to low impact exercise like bicycling and walking.

Track and field field, sprints, 40?

Ever since Phi Slama Jama, I stopped loving the dunk. So he can dunk...OK. Can he hit free throws when the game is on the line? Free throws matter just as much as any other part of the game. What about his outside shot? Does he even have an outside shot?

Sorry but I'm tired of seeing millionaires and wannabes fail at such a primary part of the game. Hate if you want.

I had the weakest barely scraped in alley oop before corona, but I haven't played since. I gotta get back on the court soon, but for now I'll be the king of rim grabs.

I was dunking in high school at 5' 8- and was able to well into my 30s (6'0) . These days,( 50+) my knees aren't what they used to be, but if I stretch/warm up first, and got a decent pair of kicks on, I might be able to touch the baseline...

I can't give you no more than that, fam..

After my 30s, I played off and on until my late 40s. Then, a few times in my very early 50s.

I could barely touch the rim now...maybe.
I'm 6'3

I could dunk in my 20s, but I don't even think about playing anymore....wayyy too much downside.

This is what I'm fighting now...

That Arthur (arthritis) just fucks with me some days. Those old ankle and knee injuries are a lil arthritic...some days are better than others.
