Like the drafting process made no sense...
In ol girls future .... Chris Pratt never amounted to anything ... they got divorced and he died in a car accident .... that shaped her to become who she was to create time travel...
So you draft this dude... creating the huge chance that if he died in the future ... then she wouldn’t have what she needed to come up with time travel and nobody gets sent to the future.
Like wouldn’t her family be on the do not draft list for this very reason....

I think the current future stays the same even if they changed the past, which is why Star Lord wanted to go back to the future after he saved the past. Basically two different time lines.

If that’s the case... that makes no sense because when he comes back she will he already dead sense the movie made it seem like you can’t come back to a specific point in the future
Like the present time and future time move in sync with each other... which is the only way to explain why they couldn’t send people back to the point the invasion started. I guess

Well yeah his plan changed after she died. Originally he had planned to go back and help her fight but after she died, he knew there was no going back to that point in time even if the time machine was still working. They explained this earlier in the movie.
What’s the point of coming back to help her fight... when part of her issues as an adult where that he left her alone and died...
Like his logic at the scene at the school about he reasons to track down the aliens to save his daughter made sense... then cause they would be saving his daughter from that future
But to say.. I’m going back in time to create this serum to then go back to the future with this serum to kill these aliens to save a future that’s already fucked...
makes zero sense from a time travel standpoint because they knew already when the aliens really started attacking and they knew specifically where they came from...
They knew they came from Russia.. They knew they attacked in full in 30 years..
So now you have a serum... And an entire world looking for hope to stop this shit..
You can’t tell me.. that coming from the future with ... We have a weapon to defeat them.. we have 30 years... that that shit wouldn’t get people to prepare for this war..

Also Old girl was working on the cure before the aliens attacked at the base ... the same base with the time travel machine.. wouldn’t it have made way more sense.. to send some of her research back to

It was a really chilling and thought-provoking idea of having Soldiers from The Future time-travel to "The Past" out of desperation to recruit for a losing war.
Can You imagine that shit actually happening?
And you're a Civilian with hardly any to practically zilch Military experience at that?
Only to find out that you're going to end up dead anyway?
Those thoughts alone, had me on the edge of my seat with this film.
When all those "Recruits" ended up Time-Jumping out of the sky.
That shit was hard to watch.
The SFX and Creatures were very well done.
But the film was almost ruined by its "third act".
Which took the standard Hollywood Sci-Fi/Action approach.
One of my Co-Workers who read the books told Me that those Soldiers from The Future actually recruited folks from various time periods.
Now I do have to read that series.

i watched it...
i felt as though if you've seen most of the major blockbuster time travel/alien invasion movies over the last 30-40 years...you'll recognize all the themes..cliches...tropes..etc that this movie has borrowed from..
i thought it was fine...just average....5 out of 10...
