You'll be surprised and it's explained by black actors in the movie.
So although there is a white savior, black dudes were represented well.
As an Action movie this shit was nice... reminded me of Battle Los Angeles.... A movie that critics also hated but easily one of my favorite movies.

Edge of Tomorrow surprised me. Thought it was gonna be garbage but figured give it a chance...that shit was pretty good.
So I've got the same issue that I had with Starship Troopers but I let that slide because they addressed that complaint in the ending montage..
If you have the technology for Fucking time travel...
Why the fuck can't you upgrade your damn weapons.... it takes all the damn bullets to even damage just one of these things...

the point of Starship Troopers is that it is a satire. Just like Robocop.
If you missed that, then you missed the point of the movie.
This is more comparable to Edge of Tomorrow.
Yep, peeped it last night & was thoroughly entertained. Yeah the time travel shit was kinda meh, but the action sequences made up for it. Also am a fan of Edge of Tomorrow!….
Maybe they did at one point but with resources heavily depleted there wasn't enough to keep the same level ammo for the troops as it would for regular bullets
They had time to build a time machine .... they had time to know that the throat and the abdomen were weak points...
They could have straight up sent designs back to the past and told engineers what we need to put a dent into these aliens and bring that shit back to the future. They had 30 years before the aliens attacked... they could have stashed that shit in bunkers and waited. The World had 30 years to prepare.
Clearly they didn’t give a shit about messing with the time line because they brought people back from the past and in seven days those people went back home...
The action in this shit is top notch but man the time travel is the worst... this would have worked way better as a Battle Los Angeles type of movie... With just regular people having to go out to kill Aliens.. they still could have kept the same beats... Saving the daughter, reconnecting with Dad, figuring out where they came from....
It would have worked tons better if Pratt and the majority of the film was based in the future and then towards the end.. Pratt and a small team go back 30 years to find out how to stop them.

They go up to I guess the US guy in charge with a legit plan on where these aliens came from.. With A logical reason and US guy is like Fuck it... I can’t spare the man power.. At least tell the Russians since the Russians knew the aliens came from there...

The idea to fight them with the serum came from the future. The plan to find and go to where they landed came from the present. After they found where they landed they didn't need the serum. They almost fucked everything up by using it.
They killed about 9 aliens with the serum, the others they killed by what.....?

We must be talking about two different things. They don’t know shit about the aliens coming from Russia and that they had volcanic ash on them without time travel.
Yeah like it clearly seemed that blowing up the ship from Jump would have been the right call...
They didn’t even need the serum. It seems like the serum almost made shit worse.
The shit they used to blow the ship up did way more damage..
I’m tripping that they came in with a small amount of serum and started immediately using that shit instead of checking to see if there were more aliens on the ship sleeping...
Also.... I’m tripping that you had all these troops from the future who still in the present and only maybe 2 were like ... yeah let’s go help these present people that have a legit plan on where the aliens came from... the same aliens that we could never figure out where they came from.
