Biz: Contentious Union Vote at Amazon Heads to a Count UPDATE: NO UNION UPDATE 1: NYC Union?

Yep you need a union dealing with Amazon so this is a good thing
Agreed. An individual negotiating with a billion dollar conglomerate doesn't stand a chance. It will be difficult for the union. Look for Amazon to go to full union busting mode.

It’s going to be very hard for them to bus unions because they can’t keep people on their staff right now and with the current employment environment they are at a disadvantage

No it's not. All they have to do is open up in right to work States. Companies spend billions to bust up unions. My company built an entire facility in South Carolina, sold off a section that employed 20k people, and moved head quarters to Chicago to just weakened our union.

Well let’s see what happens because I think things are going to change very quickly like I said the employment market is not what it was two years ago

The teamsters are crooks and steal from the workers.

I was (am) a teamster and our
Local 407 fought for us like
Pit Bulls! They saved me from
losing my job and I was blatantly
at fault but the union said fuck
that! He goes back to work and
the company pays him for the 4
weeks he didn't work (after they
fired me and had to let me back
after union grievance hearings
and investigations). The big
bosses that tried firing me acted
like nothing ever happened when
I came back to work! I quit about
a monthl after... I felt
uncomfortable after that. I don't
want to work ANYWHERE where
bosses are smiling and saying hi
when I know damn well, if they had
the choice, I wouldn't be employed
there, so I found a much better job
and bounced the fuck out!

If I was sticking around in the U.S., I would change the game of labor organizing, this crap they got now is not going to work long term.

I am sorry you need people with education, experience, and meritocracy to run things. It looks like they are following the old model which is a failure and won't work in today environment of globalization.

Labor is now running to politicians just like they are doing to medical community or me to fix their mess triggering trade wars with other countries. Labor needs to end their weak sauce game and start stepping it up with continuous improvement . This will alleviate what the government has to do.

The failures of the past is causing problems. I am starting to notice more educated folk doing these jobs while the retards are getting pushed out.
