It boils down that the media in Cleveland and fans wanted SGA or MPJ and the veterans wanted the organization to trade that pick to keep Lebron.
1. Shai told the Cavs not to come to his draft workout and the organization didn't want to start the rebuild with a player that's injured.
2.The veterans during his rookie season kept leaking fucked up shit about him that never went away because they were upset the organization didn't trade the #8 pick in that draft to keep Lebron..Why would the organization trade that pick to get a star when Lebron wanted to leave. It made no sense. The veterans basically wanted Lebron to carry them to another Finals.
3. Also,next summer hes due a max deal and they don't want to give it to him even though they basically build their culture around him

He's the best player on the team despite having no shooters around him but lets trade him because we can get a guard that flashier and will get his production in a few years..Even,though we built our culture around him and he's improved every season hes been in,we don't want to pay him next summer.

At this stage of his prime Jordan was putting on 20 pounds of muscle and telling the Pistons to bring it. That's the mindset Embiid should be in, but no one has held him accountable. Not Brett Brown, not the front office, and now we can add Doc to that list. They all baby him and let him drink martinis and go to Meek Mills concerts when he should be rehabbing injuries.

I agree. This year was clearly his most focused. Did come in best shape of his career. Hopefully he builds on that mentally. He's slowed down a bit with the social media shit too.
