Brazil Gone Wild!!!

Costa Rica:
Central Valley: racist as hell, until they realize you are American. Then they
view you as a walking, talking ATM.

Limon: where the vast majority of Indians and Blacks live. Has a bad rep among whites, just
like Detroit. Of course, the hype is just that. A very peaceful place, with beautiful, peaceful people.

Hidden gems: Cahuita, Puerto Limon, Puerto Viejo.

Labor, housing, extremely cheap.

Food is hideously expensive. Like eggs? Be prepared to pay 3-4 bucks
for a dozen. Buses are cheap, air conditioned, and very reliable. NO POSTAL SERVICE.
Want to buy electronics? Better hit the lotto first. You will pay a LOT more in Costa Rica.

No real separation of church and state.

Panama: sickeningly beautiful women. Ridiculously. Almost like a cartoon. Even the fat, short, old chicks
are at least a 7, to be crude. Not nearly as racist as Costa Rica.

Cheap beer. Last time I was there, Guiness Stout was 1.50 AT THE BAR.

Students from neighboring countries visit to make extra cash fucking gringos.
MUCH cheaper than Costa Rica, overall.
OK u took that from online when I've been there personally lol

Good information. I'm trying to decide between the 2 now

Either one is worth the trip.

Things to consider:
You want to take your mind for a ride? Look up the name
of the airport in Costa Rica: Juan Santamaria International Airport.
You might be shocked. I was.

If you end up in Costa Rica, people will tell you how dangerous Limon province
is. I found this to be unfounded. Most people do NOT speak English. One good thing
about Limon is that almost every, if not all, black person there speaks English. Most of
the others do not.

Don't fuck around "playing the dozens" when dealing with Black Costa Ricans. They generally do not curse,
unless it is time for someone's ass to get kicked. I found them to be incredibly cool, but
they DEMAND respect. They are descended from Jamaicans.
Most of the people you will hear saying "Pura Vida" are either tourists, ex-pats, or Nicaraguans.

Nicaraguans tend to be cool as hell. And they can cook. Costa Rican food LOOKS like Mexican food, but
without the spices. Sucks. Little old Indian ladies selling food. THEY CAN COOK THEIR LIVID ASSES OFF.

I met an exec. Chef from the states my last time in P. Viejo. We went out on the street, bought some chicken from a vendor and some Flora de Cana-Costa Rican rum. Yah, man. Good eats.

In Panama, don't go near the Darien Gap. At all. Period. Just don't. When the locals
tell you an area is dangerous, believe them. It is dangerous.

Avoid Curundu and El Chorrillo. It has been a few years, but I made the mistake of sharing a cab with an
unsavory local. He got dropped off in a neighborhood that was destroyed by U.S. troops when they invaded
Panama. It still looked like a bombed out war zone. Been a few years, more than 6. Doubt it has changed.

Don't layover in El Salvador. Just don't.

I prefer Aeromexico. Meals. Wine. All included with the fare. This was pre-pandemic, though.
And Mexican flight attendants are so beautiful you might find yourself just starting with your
mouth open the entire flight. This is not hyperbole.

Panama uses U.S. currency. No need to change your money.

Lot of right wing white folks from the U.S. and Canada in both places,
but they proliferate in CR.

For me, it would be a difficult choice. I have friends in Costa Rica.
I prefer Panama.

Either is cool. Travel is one of the best forms of education.

Whats the nightlife like in CR..

I can only speak in a limited way, as I have never really been
the clubbing type.

I will say this: Puerto Viejo is a great tourist town. Bars, beaches, and babes and
restaurants. Lotta chicks selling pussy.

A lot of people will offer to supply you with women and cocaine. I would suggest declining
the cocaine. It is extremely illegal.

In Panama, I only went to local places. I wanted to mingle with the people, not tourists.

HOWEVER...

I did get propositioned by a 22 year old (gorgeous) chick at a casino near my hotel.
For $200, her and her friend for a good time for a little while. That was the offer, anyway.
It is not unusual for female students to go to neighboring countries during academic
breaks. They sell a little pussy. American dollars can go a looooooong way there, depending
on the country.

You might not want to go to the places where I went to drink. I was pretty careless at the time,
and ended up in areas that white ex-pats were terrified of. I am from a city ridden with crime, so
I am not easily frightened by a blighted neighborhood. I would not wander quite the way I did now.
I would find a local friend first.

If you are looking for nightlife, the places that tourists typically go are going to be unnecessarily expensive.
Gringo prices. You will also find a lot of ex-pats there. I, personally, prefer to avoid Americans, particularly white
Americans, when I go abroad. That is WHY I go abroad.

What ends up happening is that you spend New York cash just to be in a different country that is warm surrounded by beautiful women. You can do this in any major city in the U.S., provided it is warm, and save a hell of a lot of cash.

I gave some change to a guy at an outside cafe/bar near my hotel. The white folk I was sitting with
suggested that I had set a bad precedent, and that he would be begging for the rest of the night.

But, that same local dude to whom I gave a QUARTER :

1. showed me how to get to and from the fish market for 50 cents on the bus, round trip, as opposed to a 10 dollar cab ride.

2. informed me of places were you can pretty much choose women from a line up at a bar, if that is your thing.

3. gave me some other valuable tips. Literally asked for a quarter each time.

So, for nightlife, I would suggest sticking to the ex-pat hangouts (easy to find), unless you are adventourous.

I did NOT like San Jose, by the way. Dirty. Dangerous at night. But the tourist areas are always well protected.

Hope this helps.

Yep. Just like that. I met a chick whose aunt was living
in a lean-to on the beach. I met some fascinating people in
that little town, from all over the world.

Food and drink are EXPENSIVE. Local food, from street vendors
in P. Viejo is cheap, and waaaaaay better. Alcohol prices from
the market in linewith here, but Colt 45 is consider "premium.

If you go, try to arrive in the day time. My first visit, I got
to Panama City a little past midnight. DANGEROUS
taking a cab, if you don't know which ones are kosher.
Best to ask someone who works there. Brush up on Spanish.

The dialect in Panama is weird. They don't pronounce some s's
at the ends of certain verbs. Even if you were taught Spanish here,
you could have difficulty with understanding the locals.

My hotel would be considered a booty call motel, but it had an armed
guard, who was real cool. Casino down the street. Local bar across the street.
It was in the tourist area. Well protected, police with serious weaponry on motorcycles.

There are people who will hustle you. If you are black, they will approach you, call you brotha, offering
to show you around, find women for you, blah blah blah.

WHATEVER someone offers to do for you, consider that it is NEVER, EVER, EVER FREE.

Last time I was there, I was fortunate enough to meet and old black dude who recognized
I was from the states. He had been watching me walk the same path for a few days. He was cool
as ice. Introduce me to some retirees from the U.S. and Panama who were living there.
He knew were food was even cheaper, where to find women that would not rob me, where to go
for entertainment, to buy groceries and clothing, and many other things. VALUABLE, if you plan
on staying more than a couple of days.

A lot of locals make a living this way. Some try to rip you off, get as much out of you as they can, and
be done with it. Some offer the same or better services, in a more gentlemanly, refined way. They prefer
to establish a relationship where you are almost friends; but you have someone looking out for you. This
is important.

Most Brazilian chicks not that pretty in the face
     True
