Anybody been to the slave dungeons at Elmina or Cape Coast in Ghana?

I was pissed off before I even entered, not initially at the historical significance but at the present day carnival the Ghanaians have turned these places into. These memorials are surrounded by Ghanaian trinket hawkers selling cheap Chinese souvenirs and refreshment vendors, making what, for African-amerikkkans, is likely the most somber trek of our lives into a goddamned carnival. Then, the government of Ghana has the audacity to grant FREE entry to Ghanaians while charging the African-amerikkkans an entry fee! WE, were the victims of this holocaust, not them!

The ONLY person I know in the Ghanaian government is Minister of Interior, Ambrose Dery, who, from the limited dealings I have had with him, a very nice man. But he is the only person I know so this rant I wrote was sent to his care..........

I have been there a few times, and yes it's Slave Dungeon Disneyland. Shit is ridiculous. They need the revenue, so I get it. They use the dungeons for modeling shows, faires all types of events Try Benin, the square of "no return" is done more respectfully.
