Barkley touched on this very subject not too long ago. Teams fall in love with the 3 and don't have a backup plan if the shots aren't going down.

That's why I laugh at people that use the "three-point shots are worth more" argument. You only have a handful of players that can take a lot of three-point shots but still get a high percentage but somehow the league wants you to believe that taking and making a lot of three-point shots wins games. The only team that won a title this way were the Warriors. Even,then they took a lot of two's to balance it out.
For whatever reason,teams will continue to shoot three's even if they're missing ten in a row. It makes no sense at all to do it.
Then,they'll scold on a young player for taking alot midrange shots good but tell that same player he needs to take more three-point shots. And,when that player doesn't get to the percentage they want him to be,he's traded or cut from the team.
Every,player can't be Steph,Harden,Dame,Harris and etc but somehow this league want every player to be that way.

I understand basketball always evolving but I think the league can be better,if teams play different styles like it was in the 80s and 90s with a better understanding you don't need the whole team shooting three's.

Seen a CACs on the Nets last night do a nice pump fake at the top of the 3 point line. The defender flys past him. The shooter dribbles in and 22 to 14 feet in front of him is wide open. Instead of just taking the simple jumper. The CAC steps back to where the defender that flew past him was at just so he could shoot the 3 that he obviously missed.
These players today just makes the game so much more difficult than it should be. How many times a game do we see a player drive to the basket and have a clear layup but ends up passing it to a 3 point shooter? I’ll never understand it.

Actually we've been depending on role players to step up all season. The KD & Kyrie combo haven't been as successful as say James and Kyrie in terms of winning percentage but these the playoffs. Shit changes
