Man, this is some bullshit. We all know how this goes. Dems will "negotiate" this thing down to the point where it has no teeth and no way of supporting itself, and then Republicans will still vote against it. Even if it gets pushed through in a close vote, the GOP will spend the next 10 years complaining about how it didn't do what it said it would, mainly because it was so weak.
 
Basically, the Republicans want to take money from the stimulus package
Biden passed when he first came into office, and use it on infrastructure.
This would mean that Biden would take $700 billion from wildly popular
projects in that package and use it for something else, making him look
like a liar to the people and small businesses which are benefitting from
that law.

The Republicans agreed to only slightly more than $200 billion in new
spending, which would all be paid for by increasing the gas tax that
everyone, including and especially, the poor pays. The Republicans would
then be able to claim that the Stimulus package was nothing, since they
gutted it, and then they would be able claim that Biden raised taxes on
the people by alluding to the new gas tax. Biden called their bullshit on it
by saying he wanted $1 billion in NEW spending, not the $200+ billion the
mofos were proposing. The GOP will reject his proposal since it does not
involve punishing the poor and protecting the rich, and it includes real
new money for his agenda.

Biden will then be able to go back to the Senate and pass his infrastructure
bill without Republican support, using reconciliation.

This is equally about putting Joe Mancin and Kristen Sinema on the spot.
Once the Republicans reject Biden's proposal, then Mancin will not be able
to filibuster on their behalf. However, that snivelling snake is already working
on a proposal with Mitt Romney, that will effectively water down what the
people really need.

The sources y'all keep posting says more about the ADOS contingent in here than anything else. Justice Dems hate democrats AND hate the power that Black voters have over the Dem party. That's why they have lots of slogans but never any real policy. Slogans and big talk are easy to do when you're in safe districts but actually putting up policy yourself and getting it passed.....that takes actual work. That why if you look up Jaamal or AOC or any of the Justice Dems you'll see they don't pass policy, they don't do the work.....they just sit on the side and talk shit. The overriding strategy of the Justice Democrats is to do one thing and one thing only. It's to weaken the Dems by saying that no matter what the Democrats get past that it's not enough and then pushing the idea that both sides are the same. You look at everything that the squad or any of these Rose Twitter dudes or even ADOS contingent that's in this thread look at anything through that lens of always say the Democrats are wrong always say they're not doing enough and you'll see the pattern.

Okay, that's a fair cop. But in my defense, we have seen this happen multiple times before. That's why it's so easy to believe.

Also, it's been made clear that the general public (on average) isn't savvy, so moves like this will not translate well in the public eye. But whatever gets things moving at this point.

The Democrats are the more cunning and more dangerous in my opinion. Democrats R the Dr Jekyle/Mr Hyde type. They will be smiling at you, promising you this that, pretending to care 4U but plotting to mass murder you behind closed doors.
 
The GOP isn't going to vote to get rid of the tax cuts. We told y'all BEFORE the election that the GOP was trash and we needed to get 60 dems to get anything done. Y'all said voting didn't matter.

There is no need for 60 Democrats. The GOP passed this on Reconciliation, and
the Democrats can repeal it on Reconciliation. Biden is just making shit harder
by even asking them. He should be working on Mancin and Sinema.
