He has a perspective. He does shows where young women call in looking to be married to men who make six figures and he gives his impressions on their chances of attaining that goal. Cool. The show occupies a niche on YouTube that hasn't been tapped in exactly that way. It's mostly entertainment sprinkled in with some lessons for the women who call in. That's all it is. A lot of the dudes watching who see him as their VOICE and can't stand for anyone to critique him probably are not themselves making six figures and are not even the topic of his show (except the part where he advises the women to take average dudes). That's the weird part. That's like a 5"8, 400 lb slacker/unpaid C.O.D. representative couch potato looking at a male porn star fucking multiple beautiful chicks as his personal hero. Ain't no different than the people who line Creflo Dollar's pockets. A few years ago, my lady and I watched an informercial where that brotha was telling people that for donations to him over 200 dollars he was gonna send them financial literacy DVDs teaching them how to become wealthy. We were CTFU. Creflo is NOT a financial expert and doesn't have so much as a bachelor's degree in business. Whatever b.s. is on the videos WON'T teach folks shit about how to get rich the way HE did. That fucking infomercial itself WAS the lesson in how to get rich. It's all a game. KS knows his audience well and he knows how to play to them.
And that is where the wisdom begins with KS. The things his fans don't tend to focus on. Kevin Samuels is on pace right now to have a million followers before July. He is the prototype of how to use YouTube as a platform to build a following and make money. People interested in doing that would do well to pay the most attention to all that went into how he went about that. To reiterate what I said earlier, if his most ardent male fans didn't already know women like the ones who call in were delusional then those men were never in the game to begin with.

IF playa-ism in this thread is defined as fucking and smutting out multiple bitches, that shit is not advancing the culture. When I say advancing the culture, I mean providing the building blocks for us as Black folk to survive, thrive and prosper as a people.
Within that category, I'm talking about supporting and uplifting one another and teaching little boys and girls how to have self discipline, be responsible, love reading, to love and value themselves, get educated, wait to make babies, have the goal be marriage and family, and teaching and learning our history in order to build and expand on that history. I'm talking about unshackling ourselves and our own from the slave mind of inferiority, cultivating group economics, learning and teaching self sufficiency, doing mutual aid, community service and promoting civic responsibility within the culture because those who came before us fought and died to create the free space for us to do these things and to be here. I'm talking about us protecting our own and building up good fathers, mothers, husbands and wives within the nuclear family structure.
My young Brother, if you are in real life about the business that I've seen you preach around here (ie: making sure people in your community are fed, campaigning to keep your community healthy, etc), then those are things that advance the culture. That's the kinda shit that should make someone love who they see in the mirror. Because they're doing what GOD put US here to do.

We agree more on this than you think. The overall point is that it's okay to be critical of certain sections of KS fanbase. I see the SYSBM faction as a black male divesting movement. I ain't with that shit.
Asking for self accountability should not be offensive even though it can be hurtful but In the end application of right knowledge changes outcomes for the better. Enabling and coddling mediocre/dysfunctional behavior in our culture is making us weak as a people.

I don't really believe there is a coddle culture when it comes to Black women. Someone on here got irritated that women have Black Girls Rock and Black Girl Magic and all that. Why? Let em celebrate themselves. The dominant society doesn't really give a shit about them and marginalizes them and us. Let them celebrate their greatness. It doesn't communicate that they're greater than Black men or that we are not also great. We are.
But as I said, I don't believe there is a coddle culture for Black women. I believe that through social media, YouTube videos, personalized feeds, online discussion and the like, certain existing negative behaviors have been amplified. 25 years ago, I spoke with women who didn't want to cook for their men because they felt it diminished them. 20 years ago, I interviewed women to potentially date who ended up having silly expectations- just like a faction of young women do today. I just pressed on. I also dated women whom during their verbal interview checked the right boxes. There's always been simps and always strong-minded confident brothas. There's nothing new under the sun. But because i don't believe (coddle culture) such a thing is a thing, I don't feel like there's anything I have to fight against when it comes to women. There's no deep conspiracy theories at work.
It's simply this:
Self examine. Improve self daily. Have realistic standards. Attract and accept who you want in your life, and leave by the wayside whomever doesn't fit the bill and keep it moving.

The only women who deserve passes for not being in shape are those recovering from sickness, injury, or insulin imbalance as both pre and post existing health condition. This Body Positive movement is sad and hypocritical. It is encouraging women to think being willfully unhealthy is fine. It is hypocritical because these same Body Positive Women think they are above Body Positive Men(short/fat/bald/facially challenged).
That is one example of a coddle culture for a sizable segment of black women with Lizzo leading it. Even Captain America does not want to save her.
