why would someone not try ice cream cuz its color is black?

what is disgusting about black/blue/orange vanilla flavored ice cream?

Vanilla is not black, it's brown. They did not "turn" vanilla ice cream white. grab a glass of milk. then, grab a bottle of vanilla extract and see how much you'd have to add to turn that milk any darker than ice cream white. you can do it, but you'd get drunk/sick from the amount of vanilla you'd have to add and the taste would be overpowering. you never see a recipe that calls for any more than 1tsp or so.

if vanilla is some other color, they've made it that way by using food coloring, natural or otherwise.

Used to have this at a Black owned bate shop in San Francisco in the 70's and 80's. They had the best hamburgers and fries. The place stands as it did when the original owners decided to close. Vanilla ice cream at its best.

The bean pod is brown, but the vanilla seeds that are inside are in fact black. Both the pods and the seed can be used for flavoring, but the most intense flavor comes from the seeds. Look not further than "real vanilla ice-cream" for proof... Yup the black speck are the vanilla seeds.

you sound knowledgeable and you might know better than me, but i've always understood that black doesn't really exist save for the absence of light. things that we call "black", black cats, black hair, are actually dark brown. have i been misunderstanding..??

A lot of food appeal is visual. To each his own but black ice cream just doesn't do it for me. :smh:
