I have to agree. Why would the adult man let that child run out of the house with a knife???
This hits home for me because I have a case right now where a client was outside fighting with some neighbors who let their Cane Corso's get out all the time. They were fighting in the street in front of the neighbors house. Three of them jumped him so he went into his house, got a knife and then came back out and went back to the neighbors and stabbed one of them...(minor wounds)....and wants to claim self-defense.....it don't work like that.
Once in the house you are safe. When you decide to go back outside, you are now the aggressor, or 'provoking the difficulty' as we sometimes say.
They should have stayed in the house and waited for the cops to knock on the door. Period.
Between cop and civilian, de-escalate is very important and too many times the cops are actually the ones escalating the situation.....but bruh, have you every been in a brawl or witnessed one....ain't no de-escalating going on. In every brawl I have seen, there are always people standing on the side yelling to break it up, and the individuals fighting don't even hear it....they just keep right on.

Personally, I don't think it's ever as simple as we would like it to be. I use to until I realized that humans bring their personal experiences (young or old) into every situation. I pride myself as a rational thinker, however, I also know there exist the right amount of circumstances in a particular situation that may catch me off guard causing me to act irrational in a situation where some people my disagree with my behavior.

I just so happen to take it as four adults could have prevented a lot before the cop showed, but that still doesn't absolve the cop from his actions.
I'm not into this through investigation to clear the cop of wrongdoing. I just know that if she was white he wouldn't have shot her. Plain and simple

I’ve read at least 200 comments where people are saying “if she was white the cops wouldn’t have shot her” and y’all know that is a lie, COPS SHOOT WHITE PEOPL ALL THE TIME. We as black people are mad at cops beating and shooting us when we’re unarmed, during routine traffic stops, walking down the streets minding our own business saying we fit the description and lots of other reasons BUT this situation doesn’t fit into any of those categories. The only person responsible for the child's death is the cop. No one else. He should have stopped her without shooting her 4 times.

From the story, the daughter came home crying after showing her hair was pulled out and scratches on her face. Daughter said her boyfriend hit her, mom calls the police. The police arrive and there's a standoff in the bathroom. Apparently the cops are saying he did have a gun. We are waiting for the cameras to be produced
