I've been saying that there is a reason they aren't going to the cops and it's not necessarily because they are lying. In college I shared a two bedroom with a good friend. I come home late from the library on a weeknight and hear wild ass sounds coming from his room. The only way to save himself now is to actually litigate these cases. The funny thing is that you already see the usual voices saying that it would be unfair to the "victims" for them to be forced to participate in a trial.
The ONLY way to save himself now is go scorched earth at trial. Buzbee is trying to get an emotional reaction because the reality of the claims remains super suspect. Take the woman that was up there yesterday. Litigating the civil cases or a criminal investigation would actually reveal answers to the questions that people curiously are not interested in at the moment.
