Trump's Boeing 757 sits at a New York airport as he is either unwilling or unable to pay for the repairs

how does a BILLIONAIRE have a problem shelling out 10s of thousands to fix his jet?

sounds like he is the dude with the 10 year old Mercedes sitting in his driveway and cant afford to get it fixed ....

BECAUSE HE IS BROKE !!!!!!
Maybe he is not a billionaire. Trump is notoriously parsimonious for a man
who claims to be a billionaire. He loves to have things ASSOCIATED with his
name that value in the billions, but a "+-" evaluation may actually discover
that they are barely in the black; and that their cash flow, is much less than
commensurate to the empire. Remember how he stole the $6 million that
he claimed to be raising for veterans. When challenged on it, he settled for
$2 million- meaning he profited by $4million. Meanwhile, New York Attorney
General, Leticia James, closed out the Trump Charity because she found that
it had been used to steal $2 million.

For all we know, Trump may have only been able to do all that gallivanting in
that 757, in 2015 and 2016, because the Russians who were gambling on him
were actually footing the bill. After he failed to deliver them from the pressure
of the West, even by so little as getting them back in such power clubs as the
G7, they might no longer be inclined to continue spending the money on him.
Is it a coincidence that the aluminium company, that was to be funded by the
Russian oligarch, named Oleg Deripaska, that was to be opened in Mosco Mitch
McConnell's Kentucky was cancelled a day or so ago????

Trump failed to get reelected, and with so much scrutiny on him, the Russians
might not want to get caught in that spotlight feeding money to him...And
hence his current penurious circumstances

its a 30 year old plane why would he repair it? it will sold for parts. it makes sense to just charter a smaller plane when he needs too.

Unless he has cold hard cash Boeing or the maintenance crew at the airport is not going make any repairs on the plane. Would you accept a check from Trump...

The Boeing 757 that once stood for the glitz and glamour of Donald Trump’s high-flying lifestyle now sits idle, ignored and in disrepair, CNN reported Saturday.

Trump switched to taxpayer-funded air transportation. He now relies on his smaller 1997 Cessna 750 Citation X corporate jet, which seats nine people, according to CNN.

CNN aviation analyst David Soucie estimated that operating a Boeing 757 can cost up to $18,000 an hour.

Trump and his businesses, meanwhile, have been hemorrhaging money and value, and his net worth is estimated to have dropped some $700 million to $2.3 billion since 2017, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

Waiting for Trumps plane to appear on an episode of Pawn Stars... :roflmao:

Trump may be an asshole but he's no fool. Someone will offer him money for the plane, even in its condition. Also, people playing him because he's flying on a smaller jet, but that's the typical jet size for a corporate leader. On top of that, every speech he makes for CPAC, he collects 70% of the take for his private pockets, so he's making more now than when he was in office. So laugh if you want but he's wearing that big, dumb grin, doing that stupid dance all the way to the bank.

Drop the man's cock, bro.

Fuck Donald Trump, but why the hell would anyone want a 31 year old plane that size for private use? This is a non-story. New York, come on with that indictment. That’s the story.

Trump like to portrait himself as a big time business man and can't do that in his mind without being showy. A Saudi Arabian businessman Al Waleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is a has an Airbus A380 as a private jet. That's flexing your wallet.

The current Air Force 1 commissioned for service in 1990 built in 1987 it's 34 year old plane.

I bet he used that time to set up hotel deals all around the world....that is what corruption is....I certainly wouldn't be surprised.

I would, all the people that use to make his corruption possible have already moved on or have been talking to the feds. Who the hell wants to be doing dirt when homeboys former lawyer did time and has been giving up his dirt to the feds?

Anyone who was raised their whole lives with white privilege and believes it can’t happen to them. See Jared Kushner. See presidential pardons.

And these people play the long game. I’m not talking about him scamming now. I’m talking about while he was in office. You think a developer oligarch in Prague gives a damn about US laws? You think a Chinese developer in Hong Kong gives a damn about US law? He gave them favorable government treatment and/or government assistance and he got rights to develop....is my belief. And those are just obvious countries.....it is just as likely that the same happened for small countries that no one "cares" about....probably tropical tourist destinations.

He just has to give a speech and his followers will foot the bill. Might be why the story is out there .

Sht worked for Creflo it ill work for Cheeto

You mean the Air Force One that is about to be replaced this year? That one? Plus that plane doesn't just receive regular maintenance. It's been upgraded to modern standards at the tax payers expense. The tech in that plane is second to none, so comparing it to some random privately owned airbus is apples and oranges..

The plane is 30 years old. Only 1000 of its kind were built.
The things cost around $25, 000 an hour to operate, and
the spared are hard and expensive to come by. When he
bought it in 2010, there were already many on sale on the
open market in the $7-10 million range. To make it even
airworthy, you may have to tear it down, inspect it very
carefully for structural integrity, get it reassembled, likely
with new appointments. You would also need to have the
engines torn down; the fan, stator blades, the lines, the
couplings all replaced, at a cost of maybe $700, 000 per
engine. By the time all is said and done, it would cost
more to rebuild it than it would be to buy another one.
Then, the thing which is verging on obsolescence, would
be not only more expensive to fly by the year, but the
costs would start rise as age took its toll on everything
else. Trumps best play maybe to see if there is a dumb
airline owner in Nigeria who is willing to give him $1mil
for it.. The person could then use the thing for domestic
air travel within Nigeria only.

The thing is not even an airbus. It is a plane Boeing made that was
not particularly successful. Its bypass turbofan engines are inefficient
by today's standards even when new.

When Trump ran around in the thing, he was gambling that
the presidency would more than financially make up for the
costs associated with operating the plane. Things did not
quite turnout that way, did they?

The US would not use planes from a European multinational aerospace corporation

New Airforce One is scheduled for flight in 2024 / 2025, larger body and newly designed engines did you not read the article you posted?

The current modified Boeing 747s that fly the commander-in-chief – known in the Air Force as VC-25As – are on their way out after serving only five presidents for nearly three decades. It's time for the flying White House to enter the new jet age with a next-generation aircraft to fly the president, the Boeing 747-8i, in the same way passenger airlines are retiring their older Boeing 747s.

Designated as the VC-25B, the new jet is larger and more efficient than its predecessor.

The jets are scheduled to enter service in 2024 and Biden will be the first commander-in-chief to fly aboard the new Air Force One. Trump may never step foot on it, despite all his input and efforts to keep costs down on the project, unless invited by Biden or a future president.

If Biden decides to run again in 2024 and is successful, he'll have a full four years to spend with the plane rather than a few months at the end of his term. But if he retires in 2025, his successors will have plenty of time to enjoy the new aircraft.

Ostrower has received a tip that requests have been made for a single Rolls-Royce RB211 engine – the same one that has been removed from the 757’s left-hand side.

I think I was referring to Donald Trump personally, rather than the US government.

Larger and more efficient engines; For a person purporting to be trying to save the world
from global warming, how do you justify always flying on a big plane. In fact, when the
US president travels abroad, they take 2 AirForce 1s, and several C130 freighters to carry
The Beast and similar secret service paraphernalia..

Don't confuse Carbon Footprint of Donald Trump's with the current administration. Donald Trump was the only President used Air Force One on a almost weekly to a monthly basis to golf. Was that a concern for you then?

Ya'll really don't know the depth of this scam artist.... He probably scammed so hard while in office that he is about to buy a new one.
i seriously doubt that. i think his second term, had he won it, would have been the time he was going to use to finalize whatever scams he had in place. but you see, God is a good God

yep. he is not as wealthy as he had his supporters think. not at all. but then again, if someone was a critical thinker, they would realize that. he's done. even all this talk about his followers will continue to give him money, i believe at some point they're gonna get tired of him and come to their senses.

It has always been a concern for me. Barak Obama went and used his
half-Africaness to induce Africans to accept a deal where they would
forgo industrial development forever, "in the interest of staving off
global warmig". The smooth tongued Obama made it seem as if the
Industrialised West would also effect sacrifices. It became clear that
only of Africans were the sacrifices being made and expected. I am
not talking about Biden. I am talking about all of them. Putin rides in

You're an idiot, and like the writers of the article, have no idea of what you're talking about. It wouldn't take half of what you think it would cost to get the plane up and running, engines can be replaced and the only thing its been doing is sitting idle on the tarmac of that airport. Someone will buy it if Trump doesn't want to fly it anymore and it will become airworthy.

The idiot is you. The article quotes the estimates of industry experts, and
we should listen to you? On what basis? Have ever bought or servivced a
Rollys Royce RB211 engine? Do you even know anything about aircraft and
jet-engine overhaul/maintenance? The engine cost $511,000 when it was
new 40 years ago. What do you think it is now? This same engine powered
some models of the Boeing 747

"Industry Experts" are also telling people to go run and take a Covid-19 'Vaccine". Also, if you think the same engine that goes on a 747 also goes on a 757, you're not only an idiot, but upgraded to a stupid idiot.
