Justice League MOVIE Discussion (The SynderCut Drops 3/18/2021)

Whedon tends to overdo it and make it way too campy. I actually disliked that scene cause having all the JL fawning over WW gets to be a bit much.
But that's the thing AM was playing it cool with her until he sat on her rope and confessed he did find her attractive... that's the joke

Joker??

Did you read my post?

There are some tighter scenes for sure.

Dialogue Wonder Woman saying "I belong to no one" gave me douche chills.

All the Atlantis scenes were weak as well.

One the surface Aquaman is going into the ocean and then a choir of women start singing. Why?

Sloooooooooooowwwwwww motionnnnnnnnnn everything.
I just skimmed through the Whedon version earlier today. The whedon version is true and he butchered snyders work. Foh trying to save face for that dumpster fire.

Justice League 2 is not walking through that door

On Joe Manganeillo's Imdb page, both Justice League Two and Deathstroke are listed as movie titles, but normally it will clarify as rumoured, announced, filming, completed etc, and it has none of those designations. I don't know if it specifies if you have a pro account or not. Some features and information that used to be freely available for viewing now require a paid account, but I don't know if that feature is one of them.

Ok. Whatever.

Totally disagree here. The guy was fucking miserable. Dam near every scene he was in made sure to remind you of that. It was a constant show of his turmoil and pain. I lost count of the graveyard and headstone scenes.. Even inside the motherbox he was tortured by his dead parents and longing to be with them. His final scene had him finally overcoming the resentment toward his father and listening to his finals words. The shit was dam near grief porn. Saying they glossed over this dudes pain is opposite world shit.

Hmm dont believe Imdb. They have messed up a lot.

Yeah they didn't have a translation for that or some of the dialogue inside the tavern. I figured it was some sort of ode to AM or his people, but it's not like he's a 2000 year old legend, his human father is alive in this time period, so even if that is the case, it's a little strange.

well that made sense because he saves their village and is superhuman so they kinda worship him. certainly revere him.

granted, it was a bit...

but it works in context :giggle:

You're talking about online. What I'm saying is that a theater release of JL as one 4 hour movie is too long.

It could be broken up as two movies.
This is the end. This version of the DCEU is over
No it's not over. This is just the beginning.

This was more of an HBO deal than a 'box office' deal. Keep up.

HBO has needed SOMETHING BIG, ever since Game of Thrones ended.

The 2 highest grossing (superhero) movies that WB has ever made was..... Aquaman & Dark Knight Rises, which each earned WB a little over $1.1 Billion dollars apiece.

Now compare those numbers to Game of Thrones.

All 8 seasons of Game of Thrones had a total production budget of $1.5 Billion, and the show earned HBO over $3.1 Billion in subscription revenue alone.

That exactly why HBO helped "green light" this Snyder Cut.

Because HBO wants another big "tentpole property" to keep up with all the Disney+ profits coming from Marvel content.

So HBO is driving this ship now. Not the box office.
They have all the money needed to fund the next 2 sequels, if they want it.

So it doesn't matter if you think 4 hours is too long for a theatrical release...
Just be sure to use that Pause Button when JL2 drops..... on HBO Max again.

Please shut up

Joss was given a job to take the footage and tighten it up and make it fun and no so boring.

IMO he is being given a bad wrap. He took what he had and did the best he could with it.

Who was going to watch a 4 hour movie in the theatre? Give me a break ok?

The WW bank terrorism scene was wayyyy too fucking long for something that has NOTHING to do with the plot.

We didn't need to see WW in slow motion blocking every bullet. We got it! She is fast. Ok.

We didn't need to see slow motion of a newspaper flying around, or a hat landing on a cop car!

You doing the same shit you did in the Madalorian thread......you complaining just to complain. The WW scene was actually better because it shows just how fast she has to move to block bullets. Come on man stop trying to be Mr Contrary in all these threads. Leave that bullshit to Flawless.

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

thats why I said somewhere between synder and whedon is a super cut thats feature length..

whedons biggest offense is that he changed the plot with the reshoots and rewrites...not building up to darksaid was a fatal flaw and adding the family in the villains dome...in his mind up the immediate stakes but was really not necessary since the threat was to the planet in any case.

So there's going to be a 3rd universe for DC? Is Affleck coming back? Which Joker? Are they going to throw WW 1984 out the window? Suicide Squad? What's cannon?

He didnt tighten it up he made it worse and he did t make it fun he made it dumb. Warner/DC got shook from the fan backlash from bvs and in a panic they hired Whedon to "marvel" that shit up" and it was terrible. Ive seen both versions today and yesterday and I can say without a doubt that the snydercut was a 4 hour masterpiece that was worth every minute while the Whedon version is a 2hr 30 minute cluster fuck filled with bad special effects bad jokes and bad editing. Speaking of the last act all of that damn chi and the ugly irqnge sky filter I couldnt tell the difference between justice league spy kids or shark boy.. Youre just talking to hear yourself talk and blowing smoke out your ass becquse your full of it. You're trolling , stop it already.

Naw. You mad sensitive. You acting like I am calling your daughter ugly or something. This thread is to discuss the film. If you don’t like my opinion act like a man and ignore it. Or respond with a sensible retort. Not just “oh you complaining bullshit”. No I watch media with my eyes open and think how it could be better.

This movie is ok. It isn’t blowing away the Whedon version like people thought.

It has flaws as well.

Ok. You mad sensitive. This ain’t your film. You had nothing to do with it. You know that right? Why you so sensitive with my opinion. Place me on ignore. Don’t respond to me. I am not checking for you. You commenting complaining about my opinion but you not responding with any intelligent points about the movie.

If you have nothing to say about the movie, place me on ignore and have a good day.

Dont let life get the best of you.

i agree about the slow motion, it became boring after a while.
But Joss made crap out of what was given to him. He removed damn near all the major scenes involving minority actors and they weren't just scenes to stick at the end of blu ray. They were scenes crucial to the movie and its characters. Joss put out crap and more than one actor involved said he sabotaged the movie and its actors.

I agree to a point. This wasn’t Joss’s movie. He was told what to do. I don’t know why they took out so much of Cyborg. Unless there was no way to edit it and make sense. He did add the “monster” scene where the father thinks Vic is calling himself a monster which was dope.

Joss tightened up the action scenes and used less slow motion and changed the color palette. Which to me was dope.

Enough is enough @Darrkman heres 5 dollars if he comes near me punch him

There were many things to like about the Synder Cut.

I liked how it showed the theme/importance(Silas Stone/Henry Allen/Johnathan Kent) of fathers.

Cyborg was the deepest/most well rounded character.

Steppenwolf was better in this cut.

It was good to see some future(The Atom/Martian Manhunter) members.

I just wonder how WB will follow this movie up.

The sequel should bring in the new members(GL too) and have them all fight Luthor's villain team.

After a hard fought battle, Darkseid should attack the JL at their weakest.

Walter at WB would need to be replaced. They do not care about DC movies.

Marvel stans do not like to admit this. They totally ignore DC successes and Marvel failures.
