Mane it’s some real county ass shooters out there! I went to go see this one broad one night and has to stop at the gas station. They looked at me bewildered like I was a ghost or something. This was before gps on cell phones and shit. I asked about a street and the lady said yeah we know where it is but do you know where you are?Im like no, am I going the right way? A dude was in there at the counter with her. She said baby, get in yo car and don’t stop for nobody! Not even a redlight! I like WTF?!!! Where am I? Drove through every fucking red light! Man the light could be red and I’m a quarter mile down the road but I floated through that bitch! Later on I found out two dudes got shot up at the redlights in the same part. That’s before I was toting artillery though!

My dad's hometown. My mom was more of a country girl from Holmes Co. As recent as the early 80s Meridian was once the second most populous city in Da Sip. I saw the decline in the mid 80s in real time every time we would visit. Meridian was depressing as well. The most exclusive community then was a section called Broadmoor. Some other parts are okay with real great historic districts with classic homes that were kept up. The rest of Meridian is a mini Detroit.
