Joe Biden is now POTUS

This Marjorie Taylor Green bitch is a lunatic. Straight coo coo for Cocoa Puffs. It’s alarming af that these QAnon psychos are actually in a position to legislate the laws of the land. This crazy train is picking up speed smdh :smh:

Glad to see Dems hinting at being able to govern with some balls and hope they can keep the caucus in line to pass some meaningful legislation. Fingers crossed man. The next admin these psycho Republicans usher in will be even more fascist than Trump’s. Don’t give fucking inch to these people. I want them on some “You-get-nothing-gif” level of pettiness when dealing with the GOP.
:gun03: :gun03: :gun03: :gun03: :gun03: :gun03: :gun03: :gun03: :gun03: :gun03: :gun03: :gun03:

The way Dems are moving it’s looking like they will retain the house and senate come 22.. mofos finally wielding power
It depends on if voters flake out on the dems and once again let the republicans sneak back in.

If they’re not going to hand it out to just those who really need it. Then they should
adjust the threshold by state. 75k in SC/AL is like 100k in NY/CA.
Yet those folks aren't going to receive shit.

Aahhh? The ol' double talk political switch a roo. Right out of the politicians playbook.

"$2000?? Well $1400 plus $600 is $2000. We never said we were gonna give you a whole $2000." Lol!!

People better just take their $1400 and be happy because that's it. No more relief is coming after this.
Democrats gonna be explaining the "$2000" question for the next four years.

They been saying 1400 +600 for weeks.
Since before we got the 600 they said they were doing that for now and were working on the 1400
Yeah, selective amnesia...

I've always understood it as $600 initially then the $1400 after Biden takes office.

Those that didn't get the $600 would get $2000
Those that did get $600 would get $1400

But what do I know I'm just some guy posting on bgol :dunno:

But they literally ran in GA on a direct $2000 stimulus check:

Well it's no different than people comparing what other countries have been giving to people who've become unemployed due to covid.
Meanwhile people overlook the fact that people on unemployment in this country were receiving an extra 600 dollars per week on top of their unemployed check. People who have things like section 8, food assistance, and other government subsides, are still receiving those things.
The only people and businesses that should be receiving any stimulus (or whatever you want to call it) money are those truly in need. Heck that would provide real relief vs people being short changed because the money is being shared by people/businesses who want the money vs people/businesses who need the money.
I don't understand the need to hand people money who are still employed and have been relatively unaffected financially by covid.
It's no different than handing big corporations money who haven't been financially harmed by covid and are sitting on mounds of cash.

The people complaining the loudest are probably the people who need it the least.

I think they are thinking it would take too long to figure out who and how to get it to that subset of people.
They're probably betting on most people spending that check anyway and it helping the economy.
Although it seems a lot of folks are actually saving it.
