I'm just getting into options, but I can tell you what I've learned:

1) I look at the "Greeks" specifically "Delta." I wont even bother with an option unless it has a .70 (70%) delta.
2) I don't really worry about "Theta" (Time decay) because I buy options that are at least 60 days out.
3) Whatever I buy, I make sure that I know my "Break Even" point.
4) I look at Open Interest as well. I need a high Open Interest, because I want to make sure that whatever I buy is liquid.

I hope this helps...
Break even only matters if your going to exercise the option

70 delta is great but those must be itm stocks mostly.

And time is ya best friend

nigga stopit......i aint one of these nigga that were 3 years old during 9/11.......lol.

I like to know what the Break Even is, because it just makes me feel better to know it. Even though I won't be holding them to expiration.

You're correct, a 70 delta is "In The Money." I don't have an issue paying a little more for them, because the probability of success is higher.

And, I agree again... time can be your friend. Unless you chose the wrong directional bias, then it'll seem like theta is moving double time.

Mark Cuban just did a AMA on Reddit. Interesting take on the status of GME.

I saw it a few minutes ago, but it was $7.40 at the time..So i figured I missed the train on that one.. Not sure how far this is going to go. But that is crazy.. You definitely called it, and that joint took off like a bottle rocket!

So from my understanding if AMC do not go below $4.57 today then the shorts will not cover. Am I right about this?

Mark Cuban did a AMA session on r/wallstreetbets earlier today, discussion around GME, RH, and the SEC. Told Reddit traders to hold GME if you can afford it.... Hmmmm

February 2, 2021 02:00 PM ET (BZ Newswire) -- M&A

Space stocks have been hot as investors look for ways to capitalize on the growing industry. Several space-related companies have taken the SPAC path to the public markets, and on Tuesday another private space company chose this route.
The SPAC Deal: Astra announced it is going public in a SPAC merger with Holicity Inc (NASDAQ:HOL) in a deal that values the company at $2.1 billion.
The deal includes a $200-million PIPE and will see Astra receive $500 million in cash proceeds after the merger closes.
The company will trade as "AST"R on the NASDAQ when the deal is completed. Current Holicity shareholders will own 12% of Astra if the merger is approved and completed.
About Astra: The SPAC deal gets Astra one step closer to its mission of improving life on Earth from space. The company was founded by Chris Kemp, who was the first chief technology officer for NASA.
Astra is a member of an elite group of companies that have successfully made it to space.
Among the segments for Astra are global broadband connectivity, internet of things, Earth observation, national security and next generation weather and GPS services.
Growth Ahead: Astra said it will begin delivering customer payloads this summer and begin monthly launches by the end of the year.
