They have had this for a while now depending on where you are at. I was worried that they would blade tenderize it like they do with everything else, including their prime meats :smh:, but they don't. Sams club also started selling prime steaks a while back at all their locations so you can get prime strips/ribeyes for $12-15 per pound. I will wait for the usual contrarians to explain that they can get the same taste as this with a select sirloin and soy sauce...:smh::lol:

Yeah man, Sam's club got those prime steaks. Shit is good as fuck. Thanks to the recommendations on BGOL, I got that Ninja indoor joint that heats up to 510 degrees. Works perfect during the winter.

Ain't fucking with those 'waygu' burgers though. They got bone fragments in there like they just blow the cows up, scoop them up, and package them.

Those Sams club steaks are the best deal. Occasionally Whole Foods will have their dry aged steaks on sale for $17-20 per pound so I will fuck with that too.

That Kobe and Wagyu ground beef they sell is awful. They take a wagyu cow and breed it with regular Angus and then try to make it seem like it is real wagyu when it is no different than regular ground beed. If you notice, a lot it will be labeled as "American Kobe" or "American style Wagyu"

Another thing to look for is "grass fed" versus "grass finished"; The former had grass + other shit while the latter actually only ate grass/foraged.

Costco waygu ground beef in the freezer now
That isn't the same as this a5 shit. They got me like that a few years back too. :smh::lol:

The real shit is around $100 per pound or a little less if you buy it uncut like this: https://www.costco.com/japanese-wagyu-boneless-ribeye-roast,-a5-grade,-12-lbs.product.100311435.html

Those burgers are like $10-15 per pound and are actually worse than a grass finished "regular" Angus burger. They are using cows that have a "waygu" ancestor so it is technically wagyu but nothing else is the same. Real waygu has very specific rules about the way it is fed, raised etc.

Waygu ground burgers..brah?

They realized people associated Waygu with "high end" but also noticed that nobody really knew what it actually meant. They sell shit like this for $10-12 per pound. It isn't "waygu" in any way but a good marketing gimmick. Real Waygu would be wasted on a burger just like I am a not going to give someone who want's a "well done" steak a prime ribeye :smh: :smh: Pre-covid I had the butcher just grind up different cuts of prime. Most of them have their own "blend". I have been using delivery because of covid so on instacart I ask the shopper to ask the butcher. 50/50 chance I get what I want or just regular ground beef...

Brah...I like this blend that you speak of...

Smoke that shit...brah...and the flavor profile change like a muffucka...use apple wood...

This is a more famous one but all of the steak houses and butchers have their own "blend" of different prime cuts they use.

I don't have the ability to use a smoker where I live, just a gas grill with a smoker box. However, when I visit my family for the holidays I use apple/cherry/hickory on an old school offset smoker to cook all types of burgers/sausages. I use pecan and a cherry/apple mix on the turkeys, chickens and even salmon. That shit hits and the pecan and cherry smoke give it that color:dance:

Oh I see we got a bunch of fancy nigs in this thread.. here I’m thinking I’m fancy eating my turkey + turkey meatball stew the other day and these wagyu eating nigs pull up.. dont let papi68 see this thread he gonna out fancy all you nigs.. cows eating imported Mars grass or some shit while drinking water from melted ice from Pluto
