Joe Biden is now POTUS

that's not what the tweet is saying.
the tweet is saying that they are watching the storming of the capitol with gloria playing.

the video is before the storming of the capitol.

I hate to defend trump but false info is false info.

If you click the video .....Eric clearly says he is about to go out meaning the rally...

I can agree that the tweet isn't worded the best

But when I first read it even before clicking the vid.... I read it like... the Staged Coup and the rally are the same thing...

Especially since Trumps words and actions .... are partially what led this to happen..

@fonzerrillii

Cuz...I think your right but IF this thing WAS coordinated and assisted by CURRENT elected officials and government employees?

This could be MASSIVE.. i

n US Legal history have we had TRIALS like that before?

Cause it seems this shows treasonous acts on ALL LEVELS of government...

they would have to have the trials on TV LIVE...

I just don't know if I have faith they are REALLY going to prosecute these terrorists.

but THIS is the video I keep telling folk that chills me to the bone

And I feel Law enforcement might be REALLY exposed here if this is done the RIGHT WAY

Biden just needs to be himself and nothing more. Playing a character like Trump is what gets you in trouble. Just be yourself.
What the fuck are you people talking about with Trump like character shit?
You mean the only way to tell it like it is, a person has to be Trump like?
To call these folks what they are you have to be Trump like?

Is this being a Trump like character?

"No one can tell me that if it had been a group of Black Lives Matter protesting yesterday, they wouldn't have been treated very, very differently from the mob of thugs that stormed the Capitol," he said. "We all know that's true. And it's unacceptable. Totally unacceptable."

Get him Xena

I guess these guys don't look like Trump supporters either

"The politically-connected son of a Brooklyn Supreme Court Judge was among the band of Trump-supporting marauders who ransacked the U.S. Capitol building on Wednesday.

Dressed in fur pelts and a bullet proof vest, Aaron Mostofsky joined an early wave of rioters who swarmed the halls of Congress, forcing lawmakers to evacuate before certifying Joe Biden's election victory. He can be seen in several photos outside the Senate chambers, holding a wooden stick and a police riot shield, alongside a man carrying a Confederate flag."

The man's father is Shlomo Mostofsky, a prominent modern Orthodox figure in Brooklyn and former president of the National Council of Young Israel. He was elected to the Kings County Supreme Court last January with the backing of the Brooklyn Democratic Party.

Neither father nor son returned repeated inquiries from Gothamist. In an interview with the NY Post, Aaron, who declined to give his last name, said that he stormed the building because “the election was stolen," adding that he found the riot shield on the floor.

His brother, Nachman Mostofsky, is the vice president of the South Brooklyn Conservative Club, and an elected district leader in the borough, who claims to have connections with high-ranking members of the Trump administration. Nachman also attended the rally on Thursday, but said he left before the group entered the capitol.

My brother did nothing illegal," Nachman told Gothamist. "He definitely was not part of the riot." Asked how he ended up in the Capitol building, Nachman said his brother was "pushed inside."

"You’re full of shit. You’re a dishonest person. My brother went as a citizen of America," Nachman continued. "You find me one [Black Lives Matter] riot or one Antifa riot from over the summer that didn’t have way more damage."

Biden Administration/DOJ needs to go after the Fraternal Order of Police and Police Unions.

I read the Capitol Police is part of the FOP.

These organizations were heavy Chump supporters and basically keep the Blue Wall of Silence up.

If it's proven that many of these insurrectionists were Police Officers from around the country, then the DOJ needs to break up the unions and dig deeper.

Sen Hawley is complicit...

Simon & Schuster cancels book by Senator Josh Hawley after his efforts to overturn election

Simon & Schuster has canceled plans to publish an upcoming book by Senator Josh Hawley, one of the Republican members of Congress who attempted to overturn the results of the presidential election.

Hawley, a supporter of President Donald Trump and the junior senator from Missouri, drew criticism Wednesday for challenging the election results — both before and after the violence at the U.S. Capitol — and was accused of encouraging the mob of Trump supporters that stormed the Congressional chambers. His book, The Tyranny of Big Tech, was slated for publication in June.

"After witnessing the disturbing, deadly insurrection that took place on Wednesday in Washington, D.C., Simon & Schuster has decided to cancel publication of Senator Josh Hawley's forthcoming book, The Tyranny of Big Tech," Simon & Schuster said in a statement Thursday. "We did not come to this decision lightly. As a publisher it will always be our mission to amplify a variety of voices and viewpoints: at the same time we take seriously our larger public responsibility as citizens, and cannot support Senator Hawley after his role in what became a dangerous threat to our democracy and freedom."

In a statement posted to social media, Hawley said, "This could not be more Orwellian. Simon & Schuster is canceling my contract because I was representing my constituents, leading a debate on the Senate floor on voter integrity, which they have now decided to redefine as sedition. Let me be clear, this is not just a contract dispute. It's a direct assault on the First Amendment. Only approved speech can now be published. This is the Left looking to cancel everyone they don't approve of. I will fight this cancel culture with everything I have. We'll see you in court."

On the Senate floor Wednesday, Hawley objected to the certification of Joe Biden's victory over Trump in the election, along with six others, citing false allegations of fraud frequently repeated by the president and his supporters. Hawley was the first senator to announce he would challenge the results, and has consistently claimed that the election was fraudulent without providing evidence.

A scathing editorial in the Kansas City Star on Wednesday said Hawley had "blood on his hands" in the wake of the Capitol riot. "Hawley… and other Republicans who upheld Trump's con about widespread fraud knew all along that his claims were bogus," the editorial reads. "Now that they've seen exactly where those lies have landed us, decency demanded that they try to prevent further violence by making clear that President-elect Joe Biden did not win by cheating."

Hawley did not do so. In a statement, he condemned the pro-Trump mob's violence at the Capitol on Wednesday, before returning to the Senate chamber to object to the election results again, even as several of his colleagues relented.

Sorry but McConnell coddled and protected Trump

  • Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has said he never wants to speak to President Donald Trump again after Trump incited a violent insurrection at the US Capitol that resulted in five deaths, The Washington Post reported.
  • The Kentucky Republican has reportedly been estranged from Trump in recent weeks, and he gave a fiery speech on the Senate floor this week rejecting the president's continued claims of voter and election fraud.
  • McConnell made the speech as Congress was gearing up to count the 2020 electoral votes and finalize Joe Biden's victory, before being disrupted by pro-Trump rioters.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has said he never wants to speak to President Donald Trump again following a violent insurrection at the US Capitol on Wednesday, The Washington Post reported.

The president has been accused of inciting the riot by urging his supporters at a rally on Wednesday "to fight" and march to the Capitol, where Congress was counting electoral votes and finalizing Joe Biden's victory in the November election.
Trump has spent months spinning bogus conspiracy theories about voter fraud and election rigging, while falsely insisting that the race was "stolen" from him and that he is the rightful winner. At Wednesday's rally, the president reiterated those claims. "We will never concede," he said as his supporters cheered.
Throngs of them subsequently stormed the Capitol, clashed with police, broke into the building, ransacked lawmakers' offices, and made it as far as the House and Senate floors.
Lawmakers were debating a Republican challenge to Arizona's electoral votes, but both chambers were forced to go into recess as members, Hill staffers, and reporters sheltered in place or behind makeshift barricades. The attempted coup by the pro-Trump mob left five people dead, including one Capitol Police officer.
After the building was secured and Congress reconvened more than six hours later, McConnell forcefully condemned the rioters.
"The United States Senate will not be intimidated," he said. "We will not be kept out of this chamber by thugs, mobs, or threats. We will not bow to lawlessness or intimidation. We are back at our posts. We will discharge our duty under the Constitution and for our nation."
McConnell added: "Even during an ongoing armed rebellion and the Civil War, the clockwork of our democracy has carried on. The United States and the United States Congress have faced down much greater threats than the unhinged crowd we saw today."
"They tried to disrupt our democracy. They failed," he said, adding, "This failed insurrection only underscores how crucial the task before us is for our republic."
Congress finished counting the electoral votes shortly before 4 a.m. ET on Thursday, cementing Biden's victory.
On Thursday evening, Michael Sherwin, the acting US attorney in Washington, DC, indicated that federal prosecutors were investigating Trump's role in inciting the insurrection.
"We are looking at all actors here, not only the people that went into the building, but ... were there others that maybe assisted or facilitated or played some ancillary role in this," Sherwin told reporters in a phone call.
The Post reported that when Sherwin was pressed on whether that included Trump, he responded: "We are looking at all actors here, and anyone that had a role, if the evidence fits the element of a crime, they're going to be charged."
After Sherwin's comments, the president released a video condemning the violence at the Capitol. The New York Times reported that the president had resisted taping the message and caved when he realized he could face legal trouble because of the riot.

Trump lucky the Mike Pence is an honorable dude and won’t expose him. I wish this was one time Pence would be petty

great news. Fetterman running in 2022 will help Democrats flip a Senate in Pennsylvania with Toomey retiring.

I don't think he expected this...

I didn't know about dude until this year

but he gained a fan in me...

He has that it factor and running for Senate will help build up his National exposure ....

Hopefully he will not disappoint me.

I am trying to wrap my mind around what happened. Does his base not see that Trump is the ultimate con man? For the last few months he has said he got tons of evidence but nothing shown yet.

He then said wait until January 6th and it will be special. Got 100,000 plus people to travel to DC just to rile them up and then tell them to go home.

What was even the point or his plan?
Well if one is the "ultimate conman " as u stated then no they wouldn't see it :hmm:

Dude has no sense. Every decision he makes puts him in a worse position.

I's not only him but that entire party. The $2,000 stimulus is a perfect example. How the hell if you're GOP don't you use that opportunity to "BUY" votes and favortisim headed into the Georgia runoffs? How do you not only vote for that $2,000 but an additional $1,000 in 2 additonal months etc? The absolute worst thing you could have done is fuck that stimulus effort up heading into a critical run-off.

You don't think your constituents could use the extra money?

Trump supporters would rather starve than knowing that people of color are getting the stimulus as well.

I get that! But the problem is they ALL have dirt on each other. It's one of the reasons they fear Trump so much and honestly are terrified of him facing prosecution. Trump is that dude that will turn on folks in a second. You better beleive it's coming.
