These Christmas day games been ass.
GS was a great team. As balanced and flowing as any. When they added KD they became historic and timeless for their era. Engine has all types of parts to make it run perfectly. Take away Iggy, KD, Klay, Green, Livingston and replace them with Oubre and Wiggins well its showing u how much of a drop off it is....

Double and tripled defensively. Which is textbook when the supporting cast is shooting poorly. In both games the star players (Durant, Kyrie, Giannis) played well but didn’t remotely come close to kicking ass. GS is getting its ass handed to them by the supporting cast and that is way more telling about where they are collectively.

Their record season was achieved without Durant. His addition distorts the picture a bit because of their domination. While Klay's absence is telling the fact is NONE of the additions appear (granted it's only the second game) to be able to hit a shot. Not only that but they're talking 3pt shots (volume) when even the best shooters in the NBA are average percentage wise when it comes to that shot. The other GS teams didn't have everyone coming off the bench shooting threes. These players? They float around the the 3pt line. They move SLOW off the ball. Their defense is soft. None of them opt for midrange shots. They take one hand floaters and miss. It's strange as fuck watching them play. Low IQ ball.
When Green returns there are only two players who will benefit from his presence, Steph an Wiseman. The other guys are LOST. Hopefully he can help get some easy buckets but I don't see it. I see their role players being outscored dramatically every game. Steph? They meet him at half court with two players because the other players don't know what to do or can shoot.
Every game has been a blowout thus far. Luka and Zion came up short in terms of putting the league on notice that they got next. Lebron still balling, year 18.
Hell to the NAWL. Dray is trash. Klay all day. Klay turned the Warriors into a playoff team. His two way play is more important than one dimensional Dray and Steph. What makes it so bad is that Dray and Steph can't create their own offense. It doesn't matter when Dray gets back because he makes spacing on the floor worse.
They are gonna be a lottery team again this year. They got the 2nd overall pick and Wiseman looks like hes gonna be wasted watching Steph, Wiggins, and Oubre form the most mentally fragile 1/2/3 the league has ever seen.
It will only get worse. Meanwhile Kyrie is putting the peons/peasants in their place and will be back in the Finals with KD. If they stay healthy the Nets win the East. Steph is looking like a glorified 6th man lucky to play on some great teams.
People act like the 2015 team wasn't that talented but when you have Iggy, Sean Livingston, David West Speights coming off tthe bench and gour rotation is ten deep you can have bad games in the playoffs and still win. Steph wasn't even finals MVP, his 6th man won it.
Kyrie heard that as one of his biggest bgol defenders i was disappointed in his shenanigans...

Wiggins should be a bench player. He would be more effective like that. Kelly well he still has time. But both together doesn't seem to work. A few more games will be telling. But their supporting cast needs to improve. Kerr needs to put the ball in steph hands more so he can create and dominant the offense until others step up. But hes an dumb ass sometimes also. Wiseman gonna be good. Very Bosh like with a little KG in him.
This one is on Kerr in my opinion. Steph is trying way too hard right now and he's shooting under duress because he BELIEVES (which will hurt the team overall) that he literally HAS to make every shot. His form is different; not as fluid. Everyone is playing behind the 3pt line. Oubre can ball but he's shooting 3s. Same with Wiggins. It's almost as if they THINK they can mimic GS of the past but THOSE teams had 2-3 HOF shooting those shots. I was surprised that GD didn't make a move on any of the Centers who were available. The way Wiseman looks, moves and shoots he would have benefitted with another BIG. We'll see what happens when he has an experienced player like Draymond running with the ball, etc. Either the way they screwed up. Oubre and Wiggins got REAL money. That's a problem.
