Kyle Rittenhouse’s family is selling ‘Free Kyle’ branded merchandise, including bikinis and crop tops, to help raise money for the teenager’s criminal defense fund.

Rittenhouse, 17, of Antioch, Illinois, is charged with shooting dead two people and injuring a third amid racial injustice protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on August 25.

Fans of the embattled teen can now buy an array of products, including T-shirts, hoodies, stickers, and laptop sleeves with the words ‘Free Kyle’ emblazoned across them.

For $39.99, supporters can also bag themselves a Rittenhouse-branded padded sports bra, or for $42.99, a two-piece Free Kyle bikini.

Some of the products, including face masks, mugs, and phone covers, also include the sub-slogan ‘self-defense is a right, not a privilege’.

All of the products are currently being sold via the freekyleusa.com website with any proceeds generated reportedly being directed to the teenager’s legal defense fund.

To market the products, the website appears to photoshopping the 'Free Kyle' logo onto stock images of models. It's unclear if the models depicted are aware their likeness is being used on the site.

In a statement on the website, Rittenhouse’s mother Wendy thanks supporters of her son, and writes: ‘I alone control this website and Kyle’s defense fund’. She also reiterated that all proceeds will go toward defending the teen at trial.

‘We estimate Kyle’s defense costs for trial to be approximately $2 to $2.5 million and after turning over the $2 million dollar cash bail we are essentially starting at zero,’ Wendy Rittenhouse stated.

According to a post on the website's homepage, the ‘Free Kyle’ fund has so far raised around $56,700 towards its $2 million goal.

‘We still have a long way to go. I know in my heart that Kyle will be acquitted,’ Ms. Rittenhouse, a single mother of three, continued in her post.

‘Asking for help has never been easy for me, but Kyle and my family really need your help.’

The attorney for Gaige Grosskreutz, one of the men Rittenhouse is accused of seriously wounding, accused Wendy Rittenhouse of attempting to financially benefit from the alleged actions of her son.

‘They are going to be celebrating Christmas without their loved ones. Meanwhile, you know, Kyle Rittenhouse's mom is trying to profit off of these tragedies,’ attorney Kimberly Motley said ‘And I think it's frankly vile and disgusting and in extreme poor taste.’
