I missed WarGames but seeing clips and still pictures, it looked like a dumbass spotfest of a match with no clear story. That pic is a pretty good representation of the match. Bunch of high spots and craziness some of which made absolutely no sense.
I have to agree with the Gargamel of BGOL WrestlingI missed WarGames but seeing clips and still pictures, it looked like a dumbass spotfest of a match with no clear story.
I hate when promotions do shit like that. It puts the talent at risk of injury and completely removes the aura of disbelief.
Wrestling should look like a legit athletic match or fight, not some glamorized stuntman competition.
What sense does putting oneself in a trashcan and falling on top of a gr in up of women who are supposed to break your fall make if this was a real fight?
Dumb shit.
She's cute. Good luck to her. Hopefully, she turns out better than the last basketball chick they signed back in the day...Linda Miles.
It's a cage match with one pinfall amongst 8 people all in the ring at the same time. All you can do is a slug match with high spots. If they didn't invoke the one pinfall stipulation you might have been able to seperate and tell a story. But with that invoked, it's just which team can get the knockout victory. That pic is a pretty good representation of the match. Bunch of high spots and craziness some of which made absolutely no sense.
Partially disagree. It's a cage match with one pinfall amongst 8 people all in the ring at the same time. All you can do is a slug match with high spots. I agree with all of that, but that works when you have an established and clear storyline and feuds. This year it seems like they rushed the build-up and just threw all the women in the cages together and say go at it. There is a feud or two that can come out of this, but leading up to it there was no reason to care more about one team over the other. Notice everyone is mostly talking about the spots and not the outcome (the champ taking the pinfall) and what the fallout will be.Partially disagree.
Old WCW WarGames got the slugfest part fine. Never did you see the Horsemen or the Road Warriors, Kolov or others doing high spots.
It seems like today, the only way talent can get "over" into do dumb stunts.
Less is more. If EVERYONE is doing crazy shit, it doesn't excite anymore.
This is the reason why Foley falling off Hell in the Cell was such a shocking moment.
Today, it's damn near like a big PPV spot.
I like this as it's part of a story that is not only going to build with Swann, but with the rest of the roster.Watching Impact live for the first time in years. This is brutal.
Opening match was decent. Don't know these guys but it was ok.
Women's Tag Match was wack.
Sami Callahan is like a poor mans overweight Jon Moxley. Why does he have a mic in hand?
Then they did their two Black Champions wrong.
Moose and Chris Bey vs Rich Swann and Willie Mack.
Match could have been decent but damn near half the match took place during a commercial break. Mack ate the pin. Whole time, instead of talking about the in ring action, the announcers kept talking about Omega.
Then they shit on Swann when he tries to see Callis and Omega. Telling him he isn't the real Champion.
Now they do another tease for tomorrow on Dynamite. Shit was wack.
NWA Shockwave > Impact.
I literally have no interest in Shaq trying to wrestle, but if there is an angle for him to introduce anyone then.........i'll just hold my comment for now.
Yeah...I want Scorpio Sky to be that dude...i just don't want him shoehorned in there. That should have been the focus not Kenny Omega, but...
With how small the AEW roster is, Shaq is going to look like a literal GIANT against their lockeroom. For FCUK SAKE please do not bring his old ass in to wrestle!!! Punch someone and keep it moving anything more and I am joining @EPDC.
That should have been the focus not Kenny Omega, but...
I'm willing to bet, after the Swann/Bey match, one of them will be made to look weak against Omega.Yeah...I want Scorpio Sky to be that dude...i just don't want him shoehorned in there.
I want a story like Kofi's almost.
true, but it creates a story of redemption down the line...immediate though.....yeah...i got your point.I'm willing to bet, after the Swann/Bey match, one of them will be made to look weak against Omega.
Remember where I said all promotions need to come out as equals?
Swann or Bey will have to look weak in order to Omega to get his "collection" of titles.
Think its safe to say Omega isn't gonna squash either of them. Omega can put on a 5 star classic with those guys. This ain't Triple H & Booker T.I'm willing to bet, after the Swann/Bey match, one of them will be made to look weak against Omega.
Remember where I said all promotions need to come out as equals?
Swann or Bey will have to look weak in order to Omega to get his "collection" of titles.
WWE upset that someone who they have shown on their TV show, thus they feel like they should only appear on their TV show going somewhere else. Sounds about like WWE.![]()

Snoop Dogg Reportedly Has WWE Heat Over Upcoming AEW Appearance
By Marc Middleton | December 10, 2020
Celebrity WWE Hall of Famer Snoop Dogg reportedly has some heat within WWE for his upcoming AEW Dynamite appearance.
AEW announced last night that Snoop will be appearing on the January 6 Dynamite episode on TNT, to promote the "Go-Big Show" talent competition series that is set to premiere on TBS the next night, featuring Snoop and AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes as two of the judges. January 6 is the same night that the WWE NXT New Year's Evil special airs on the USA Network.
It was noted by Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio that there are people within WWE who are "very upset" over Snoop appearing on AEW TV.
Snoop has appeared on WWE TV a few times over the years and was inducted into the Celebrity Wing of the WWE Hall of Fame in 2016, by John Cena. He recently partnered with WWE for a limited edition merchandise collection with The Undertaker.
Regarding the collaboration with The Undertaker, there were rumors on WWE pulling the merchandise over Snoop's upcoming AEW appearance. That is incorrect. It should be noted that the limited edition merchandise was only scheduled to run through Sunday, December 6, and had already been pulled before AEW announced Snoop's Dynamite debut.
Stay tuned for more on Snoop's AEW Dynamite appearance.
Now... Let's see what happens to Sasha in the upcoming weeks...WWE upset that someone who they have shown on their TV show, thus they feel like they should only appear on their TV show going somewhere else. Sounds about like WWE.
Difference is Snoop can tell them to fuck off because they don't own his name, he ain't locked up in a bullshit contract with a no compete and he owes them nothing.
