He did an interview like last year or the year before when he got out and I knew he wouldn’t be free for long. His music is very violent, but I liked it because it was entertainment for me. It definitely wasn’t entertainment for him though. The thing is people like him can’t function outside of the prison system for long. He has been incarcerated for so long, as a young man, that’s all he really knows. It’s sad. You can hear it in his interviews. One way to look at is that he was out on vacation for awhile and now he is back home. Where he thinks he belongs. Sad. Smh

The problem we have today is that you can't really blow up as a rapper just making dope music. You have to be famous before anyone will listen to your music and follow your growth. One way to be famous is to promote you are part of a gang or are "gangster" So there is money in snitching on your self. Promoting your crimes gets you more attention which in the fame business gets you more money. Cass is more famous for being "gangsta" than making music so it's very difficult for him to stay relevant just off the music he has to be gang adjacent for his music to have "credibility" it's a sad cycle that these young entertainers are stuck in.
I was thinking the other day we live in a strange ass time when our poets are violent as hell. LOL When else in history has it been this dangerous to be a poet or musician. Never in the history of man was art connected to crime and violence as it is today in hip hop. It is a very very strange connection but since the symbiosis makes money the system promotes it and unfortunately amplifies it.
