Harden has zero leverage here. He has 2 years left with the 3rd being the opt out year. They can't force their way anywhere, he signed the paper to GET the paper. If he sit out, cool... fine him
It'll look way worse on his part than the Rockets. Health aside, this team is better than last year's. Wood is a beast, Wall is saying and doing all the right things, and he's looking damn good in individual drills, pickup games etc... and Cousins if healthy is one of the most talented bigs in the league (and yes I know that's a BIG if).
The way this organization and his fans have given him the Lebron treatment without him delivering on the Lebron hardware, he could at least do a year, all in, and see where it goes... and if it don't work then fuck it let him go and try to get SOMETHING in return

Yeah the more I read her comment she totally could have handled that differently. The part where she was like "you're not the fan he needs" was a bit much.
And she's also confirming what her own son has yet to confirm. Harden hadn't spoke publicly since the loss to the Lakers. Everything was all speculation as far as the trade requests were concerned. She pretty much open her mouth and confirmed it. That hurts the organization and their own chances to get where they want to be. Rockets could be dicks and send him to Minnesota or Sacramento or some other bottom feeder, get young talent and a boatload of picks and call it a day.
Inexperienced response... her best answer was NO ANSWER. Because there's a chance what John Wall said was true... that he wanted him here, wanted to play with him, and is committed to the Rockets AFTER getting one last hurrah in before the season starts.

Man I've been thinking which team we could trade this nigga to & possibly get some key pieces in return along with a few #1 draft picks.
Like you said on paper we have a pretty good squad granted if everyone is healthy. I like the professionalism and the leader approach I've seen from Wall during his interview sessions so far.
Somebody on Reddit proposed a trade for Harden to Toronto for Siakam & Norman Powell along with some #1 picks. I think I'd do that because we'll have a competitive team moving forward as long as cats are healthy.
