The retired general tweeted out a full-page ad that ran in The Washington Times that claimed the extraordinary executive actions were necessary to avoid the alternative of an imminent "shooting civil war".

Captioning the tweet "Freedom never kneels except for God [pray emoji, US flag emoji]", Mr Flynn linked to ad from a TEA Party-affiliated group called We The People Convention.

The 1,500-word manifesto invokes Abraham Lincoln's extraordinary use of presidential authority to suspend habeas corpus as it compares the more widely-known civil war with Antifa and Black Lives Matter attacking major cities with their anti-American agenda.

Michael Flynn is a commissioned officer. He has sworn an oath of fidelity
to the US constitution, not to any person, or even the United States itself.
In any dispute between the US Constitution, any man or the United States
itself, his side is with the US constitution. This is why all of what he said is
ill-advised. There is a case that that can be made that he is violating the
UCMJ, which binds all military personnel, whether active (or retired and
receiving a pension). Michael Flynn gets a pension of $10, 000 per month,
commensurate with his final rank of 3 star general and tenure of 33 years.
If found to violate the Uniform Code of Military Justice, he could be court-
martialed, demoted or summarily discharged by the military; He would
then lose that pension.

I was told that the US Attorney's Office is like a fiefdom, they report to the AG but they don't ask him what cases they can investigate. Same with the FBI.

I think I've read something similar to that before. They retroactively demoted a general after he retired.

At one time it was reported any cases related to Trump or his people had to go through Barr so I was wondering if he signed off on this. He may not have had a choice though, depending upon where is started and who knew.

Barr is up against the current reality that all that bullshit he co-signed thinking it was gonna end up in the realization of that sovereign executive theory he loves so much is actually about to culminate in the most high profile political investigation in American history and he's mixed up to the top in it in all the wrong ways. He's about to walk the agency line and enforce as many "norms" as he can from here to Jan 20 so he can sit in court later and say he upheld DOJ standards. In short, fuck this guy.

I think that may have been some closed door bullshit Barr tried to initiated. Remember Trump fired all the US Attorneys when he was elected. I can see it happening but the USA's are no jokes. I'm sure that Trump and Jefferson Beauregard Sessions wanted card carrying klansmen but those are hard positions to feel. I think you'll be hard pressed to find that many idiots of that class. They talk to everyone eye to eye, the mayor, governor and FBI SAIC.

One thing I've taken from the Trump administration is how flawed the meritocracy is. I love the quote" The myth of success is that it's a meritocracy" and the one thing these last 4 years have shown is that fucking idiots rise in a flawed meritocracy. I really wonder how some of the people received the credentials and accomplished the success the did. How did that dumb ass Kayleigh make it to Harvard Law? How did Pompeo graduated number 1 at West Point?
