That's really a good thread, what did Trump do to the GOP and for the future of the party.

I think Trump just brought out real hatred, same hatred was always there but hidden under more conservative, middle of the road politicans.

Now Trump brought it more to the RIGHT, remember the tea party formed under Obama? How angry they got but they went back to sleep.

Facts. Trump voters spent 2008-2016 in a rage over having a black president. Having him in office gives them the validation to be the racist bags of ass they've always been, and they fear they won't be able to do that if he's gone.

Trump is going to cause Republicans to lose a lot of races especially now the way he is acting there is not enough craze Republicans in this country to elect Trump anymore unless they do some large scale cheating. If Joe Biden has a good term it is over with its done for the Republicans for a while. For crying out loud Trump lost Georgia** and Arizona.

But what helped Biden win was two things.

The first was the pandemic which kicked in mail in voting. Because of that the GOPs voter suppression laws were void allowing Biden to get such a large result in numbers. If this had been a regular election with folks doing regular early voting at polls and showing up on Election Day, Biden would have had a slim chance or no chance of winning. By the the midterms come up in 2022 and POTUS in 2024, regular elections will return unless the Democrats can keep the mail in voting going on in the future, which I doubt they will do.

The second reason was Biden did not win because of merit or he had a better message. He won on the “Anybody But Trump” ticket.

Ronald McDonald could have been on the ticket and got the same voter turnout as Biden cuz folks wanted Trump out of there.

You have to also take in consideration we live in the United States of Amnesia. Majority of Folks will forget Trump by 2022 and he will be a memory on the political stage by 2024 cuz by then majority of Americans will be back to work bringing in a paycheck, money in their pocket, food on the table and bills getting paid. And Covid-19 will be a memory and on the level of the common cold.

When folks are happy and content, they don’t vote or have interest in politics.

If Trump is alive and healthy enough to have his rallies, he will return in 2024, but nobody will pay to much attention to him except his minions and the GOP depending on how much influence he has at the time over the electorate.
