Prove something? To YOU??? GTFOH.
Okay, you have completely made an entire ass out of yourself.

First, you responded to a question to which you have zero knowledge about.

Second, you said Prince was like a 3 year old, which is why he dressed in full drag. then you blamed me for saying it.

Then you admit to not having any insider information concerning the picture in question.

You are dishonest. You are a liar. You're an emotional, run of the mill, internet troll.

Please enjoy my being on my ignore list, as you are unworthy of interacting with.

Nigga, Prince was a ROCKSTAR. You trying to hold those cats to regular nigga standards. Them Motley Crue cats were makeup wearing rockers but they was running through Vanity and any other bitches that passed their way, too. Earth Wind and Fire wore some sus AF clothes too at one time. Nobody calls them gay because they never reached the same kind of rock star status Prince did. Bottom line is, musicians get away with shit that regular dudes can't. Because its their job to present a fantasy, an image. But YOU....if you go walking around with YOUR ass out...yeah cats would probably think you're gay.
Good points here.

Nigga...you gay. Retardedly gay. I never said he was 3 yrs old. You said he was being described as a toddler. Your words. You are the one who can't have a rational conversation. And since you know you sound stupid as fuck and can't defend whatever the fuck you're point was, you want to throw it back at me like I haven't been clear as fuck. Now you want to throw a tantrum. You're a fucking idiot. Fuck your ignore list, douche. Take your homotional ass on somewhere.

Don’t take this the wrong way, but if you say one more negative thing about Prince it might be a wrap

Normally I stay out of things like this, but technically neither one of you called Prince a 3 year old or a toddler. However, your example somewhat tried to compare the actions of a toddler to that of a adult. He was responding to your comparison and basically saying it was a poor choice.

Correct me if I'm wrong but you seemed to be saying you can't judge someone's one time action and claim that is who they are as a person.your example is flawed because no one would call a grown man a booger eater based off him doing that as a 3 years old. It is expected behavior of a three year old because they don't know any better. An adult would hopefully out grown that behavior and understands how they will be viewed if they don't stop doing that. That is basically what he was eluding to with his response. He was questioning your train of thought given the example you used. He wasn't asking if Prince had the mindset of a toddler or saying he did.

You are also correct in that wearing a dress one time does not make you gay. However, people are not just saying Prince was gay based off that one event. Its his overall behavior that makes him questionable. The picture of Prince wearing a dress is just another questionable example of his feminine like behavior that goes beyond the normal counter argument that being androgynous was acceptable at that time. To your point, maybe he was looking out for a friend. Maybe it was a joke or Halloween. Either way an adult man would know that wearing a dress would bring his sexuality into question and wouldn't do it without knowinghow he'd be perceived. Prince either didn't care about what others thought or was not a heterosexual man. Be honest with yourself if you saw a man in a dress you are you're probably questioning his sexuality. You're giving Prince a pass because he is someone you respect and admire for his musical talents.

I believe Jaden Smith was wearing dresses amd/or doing other questionable things before officially coming out. At that time he may have been linked to one or two know girls yet I don't recall many men defending Jaden's behavior as heterosexual. At best, people were saying their family was weird and Will needs to check his son.

I already know people are going to say your are trying to compare Jaden Smith to Prince. I'm only comparing the behavior not their careers. Jaden was doing questionable things and fortunately for him being gay is more acceptable today so it was easier for him to come out as gay. Why is it so hard to believe Prince may have been gay or bi.the reality is it was no where near as acceptable to be gay in Prince's time. There are stories told regularly about men and women who had families that came out gay later in life and they had never acted on the desire before coming out. I'm not saying Prince was gay but he could have fell into that category. Even saying he was never outed isn't saying much because the person could have respected Prince enough not to tell,was/is in the closet themselves or is dead as well.

Wtf I didn’t even see this pic originally... the suspect shit continues

you dont want to go on YouTube and type in prince vma performance smh... this nig outfit was made for meg stallion Type but he was wearing it smh
Bruh i figured Prince out in 1980 when I was 10. The Purple Rain tour in 1984 is the first concert i attended. Always been a fan of his music, never been a fan of his behavior.

Bruh, I honestly don't care if Prince was gay or not. It wouldn't affect my appreciation of him as an artist. But context matters and I think that there are a lot of cats who judge him unfairly for reasons that have nothing to do with Prince himself. Regardless, it is what it is. I think the guy is misunderstood, but in the end people will make their judgements whether right or wrong. The one thing we know for sure is that he didn't give 2 fucks about what anyone thought. He forged his own path and he's a musical god because of it.

I don’t judge Prince like I do other people, Prince is just Prince. Yes he did wear some fruity shit, but Prince is Prince...

She's like, "Kevin , let me explain something to you about Prince. I've been working with Prince for many years and I can't go tell him that you can't shoot this documentary." She's like, "Prince doesn't comprehend things the way you and I do."

I was like, "What do you mean?" She was like, "Well . . . Prince has been living in Prince World for quite some time now." She's like, "So Prince will come to us periodically and say things like:
'It's 3 in the morning in Minnesota. I really need a camel. Go get it.'

And then we try to explain to Prince, like: 'Prince, it's 3:00 in the morning in Minnesota, it's January ...and you want a camel? That is not physically or psychologically possible.'

And Prince says, 'Why?"'

I'm like, "Is he an asshole?"

She's like, "He's not malicious when he does it. He just doesn't understand why he can't get what he wants. He doesn't understand why someone can't process a request. . . like a camel at 3 in the morning in Minnesota."

The thing is no one ever discredited his music based off the of their belief he was potentially gay. Prince's sexual orientation doesn't have anything to do with his music.

You're saying he is being unfairly targeted. I'm assuming because you believe being androgynous was acceptable at that time. I'm going to take a guess a say that everyone wasn't with the androgynous thing back then and it may have been questionable. Even if I'm wrong, I'm sure there are other know entertainers that dressed the same yet Prince seems to get called out more for potential being gay. It could be that he was one if the biggest stars to do this or there were other suspect things Prince did like the picture that was posted which is why his sexuality is questioned even after his death.

You can have the opinion that Prince wasn't gay but you should be able to see why people think he was and said people also seem to be fans of Prince.

Nobody in the industry ever said I have stories of Prince doing gay shit, being suspect doesn’t make you gay. Puffy has years of stories and doesn’t catch the same scrutiny.
Wait what? I guess you never read a puffy thread b4... hell his fab why don’t we party anymore was laughed at for monthsss on here and on the net.. so much fab had to come back to drink champs to try to explain that why we dont party anymore fab line

It's CLEAR why people think he was. You're arguing a point that I'm not making or necessarily even disputing. I've been on this board a long time and I've seen the super conservative attitudes brothas on here have had and trumpeted in regards to sexuality, image and Prince specifically. So I know for sure that there have been plenty of cats who didn't fuck with Prince AT ALL because of his image and their perceptions of what that image represented to THEM. Do I think they're bad guys for having those opinions over the years? No. But just a historical perspective in regards to this board and brothas in general, there has been various levels of evolution shown and not shown. That's just a fact. Part of the evolution in opinion is the group you mention - brothas who think he was gay but still like his music. But there are still other groupings: people who think he's gay and don't fuck with him at all, people who don't think he was gay, and people who just don't care either way.

I'm just hear to represent my group (cats who don't believe he was gay). I'm not here to call every other group who doesn't hold my opinion an asshole for not getting on board with my opinion. So to be clear, I don't have an issue with the other groups of opinion holders. I recognize they exist because this conversation has been going on for YEARS.

bruh, i appreciate your diplomacy and decorum while dealing with this nutcase.

there is a story behind the pic i posted. i asked someone who might be in the know about that picture SPECIFICALLY.

it involves Prince and a certain transvestite community.

with no perspective and no information this lady boy comes out the blue all butthurt and triggered at a picture of his hero looking MIGHTY suspect. he posited potential explanations for the behavior. he even lied and said he might know some of Prince's people. if he had, he would ask me to shut up, not be arguing with me, cause ALL OF THEM know what im talking about.

Prince got plenty of my money. i know 12 of his albums by heart from start to finish. some folks have joked that i sound like him. his being a fruit cup doesnt affect my admiration of him and his skill level.

maybe the Mad Genius needs to come to grips with his own internal struggle with homosexuality or his bigotry towards homosexuals instead of getting mad at me pointing out the fact that Prince referred to himself as Camille.

Has anyone in this thread said they didn't like Prince's music because he was gay? If so, I missed it.To be honest I've never heard that in the real word either, but im sure there may be people who feel that way. However. I'm mainly speaking on the comments in this thread; not the world or even the board as a whole. The scope of this discussion has been around Prince's sexuality; not his musical talent.

Initially I was just saying you and Buk had a miscommunication. As you can probably tell though, I'm in the camp of Prince is a great artist but at best he was in the closet. I personally don't dislike anyone because they are gay.plus Prince's is a legend. Even if he would have came out as gay people would have still gave him a pass.

Let's be clear, Buk's bitch ass posted a pic of Prince in a dress that has been all over the internet damn near as long as there's been an internet. Prince was friends with an big time designer from the 80's, Betsey Johnson. As a favor to her, he took some pictures in her dress. That's it. That's the story. But bitch ass Buk and his transgender friends have concocted some tranny lore about why and how Prince was in the dress. Buk is a dick gobbling goofball who would rather believe tranny lore instead of the simple truth of what really took place. I tried to give this retard a chance by dropping the truth on him but he's so fucking stupid that he accused me of making him sound like a "toddler" because he couldn't grasp how Prince would even consider doing it. This how dumb some of these cats are. This is the point I was making in terms of how cats fall into certain groups. On the surface they sound half ass reasonable but when you look just below the surface you see the latent gayness in their concern and questions. Keep in mind, this twat is asking people to ask friends of Prince about a tranny rumor. What kind of fuck shit is that?? It's the kind of bullshit homos like Buk would do. So keep all this in mind while you're listening to this dipshit. :hmm:

I don't care about the rumors. I'm looking at the picture at face value and taking into account other things I've observed from a distance. I've already said who knows why he put on the dress, but the optics look really different given Prince's overall behavior. I could understand wearing a dress for a role, as a joke of some sort or Halloween, but I find it hard to believe a straight man is putting on a dress at the request of a friend. Why would said friend even assume I'd wear a dress as a straight man? You said the person is a known fashion designer. I don't know when this picture was taken but what men was the designer trying to sale this dress to especially given the time frame this was probably taken? Let's assume the designer wanted to take advantage of Prince's fame. Is there some reason Prince didn't think to just say hey put a woman in the dress, ill wear clothing designed by you and take the picture with the woman in the dress you want to market?

Off the top of my head Weasley Snipes, Martin Lawrence, Jim Curry, Jamie Fox and Dave chappelle have worn dresses in movies or TV shows. To my knowledge, no one has ever questioned these men sexuality. I get you don't believe Prince was gay, but do you at least acknowledge he was suspect?

From your view point Prince was never linked to a man sexually and he was in relationships with women. This is why I'm saying he is suspect/in the closet, but not necessarily gay as dumb as it sounds. In my own way I'm showing that I don't have proof of my belief that he was gay, but im still acknowledging that Prince energy was that of what I consider a gay man that never openly came out as such.

think about the feminine acting boys back in high-school/middle-school/Jr high-school that girls claimed were straight for the exact seem reasons as Prince. At that time these young men were involved with young women and to anyone's knowledge didn't have sexual contact with men. Later in life typically right out of high-school these same men every other man thought was gay and women defended as not being gay came out as gay. Is this universal true. A course not but more often than not this is the case. Man or women the person wasn't comfortable with their sexuality or literally couldn't come out do to fear of being hurt in some way.some people never come out due to various negative reasons. Luckily the world has somewhat changed so more people are willing to be themselves.

As far as the Buk thing, as I said before you two had a miscommunication based on the original comment/example you made. You have an issue with his question around asking friends or associates about Prince's past. Why? If you were researching Prince's life, would you be interested in hearing all possible aspects of his life or only highlighting/hearing the parts that make him look good. You ask questions to dispel the myth and find the truth. You brought up a counter argument that people now have to consider. The truth may be somewhere in the middle. I still feel he was in the closet and my view was in no way influenced by anyone here.

In regards to the dress thing, Some men don't have the same hangups or views on male fashion standards that the average guy has. All those people you named that wore dresses, most of those dudes at some point have been accused or gossiped about being gay. A quick google search would answer that question for you. So your entire supposition is off the mark. Outside of that, I'm not sure what you're debating at this point. I've already said that I understand why people question his sexuality. Multiple times in this thread.

So all of these men have been rumored to be gay to the level of Prince? I already said men have worn dresses for various reasons and that doesn't mean they are gay. That is why i selected those celebrities and not Eddie Murphy, Sean Combs or even Will Smith. men whos sexuality have been questioned alot even though two of the three haven't worn a dress that i can recall. My point was why did Prince go this route when there were clearly other ways he could have supported his friend.

The easy is answer is he was androgynous, but in my opinion they are gay people who are in the closet. I'm not saying my opinion is right but that is my opinion. Using Jaden Smith again he would have been considered androgynous earlier on. However, he later came out as gay. When he came out as gay no one said oh I thought Jaden was just androgynous and were shocked to learn the truth.i may be wrong but people seemed to respect Jaden more after he came out.

The question wasn't did you understand why others believed Prince was suspect. I asked did you believe he was suspect. Suspect for me means the person has gay traits, but i don't have any hard evidence to prove he was gay. We're not having a debate. I'm not attempting to win an argument or convince you I'm right. This was simply a discussion that clearly should be ended. This become more apparent when you could not even admit you were the one introduced the subject of three year olds/toddlers and the issue between yourself and Buk was a miscommunication. For some reason you just seem to be on the defense or may be you just feel like people are disrespecting someone you respect. Speaking for myself I don't view being gay as a bad thing so I'm not trying to diminish his character in any way or disrespect him.that lifestyle isn't for me but to each his own.

You don't believe Prince was gay and its cool. Others believe he was or was in the closet and there is more than enough evidence to support this opinion unlike with most other rumored celebrities. Its also ok. Like i said before no one or just to address the very small community of people you want to insert very few people care about Prince's sexuality enough to question his music. Even the people who knew Prince seem to respect him and believe he was a good person. In the end that is all that truly matters.
