So, please explain to me in logical terms why the democrats refused to meet and debate the crime and police reform bill Tim Scott proposed?? They didn't even look at it. If they were so concerned with black folks and really wanted to see change they would have met with Scott and hashed it out. Instead, Pelosi said no and Democrats blocked the effort from reaching the floor for debate. Due to Senate rules, 60 votes are needed to advance the bill.
Both sides do dumb shit. And this is an example of Dems doing dumb ass shit that only hurts black folk.

I'm talking about legislation or issues that may not be specifically for black people but looking at those legislation/issues and deciding if it's in our best interest or not. Not looking at to see how white folk feel about it. Not looking at it and deciding baseed on if it's good or bad for others.
We as black folk have been unselfish for too long, while others have been selfish looking out for what's best for them.
ADOS isn't just about reparations. It's about recognizing that others have separated themselves from the umbrella known as African American/Black and are fighting for their interest and available resources.
What I am talking though doesn't even begin at legislation. It begins at the street level and how we view the world. It begins with non elected people who are supposedly black leaders but seem to be more like rainbow leaders.

You really think a police reform bill would make it through the Senate? Let the new administration take office then let's put shit on their plate. Without Trump some Republican members wouldn't be as scared to support democrats.
