Joe Biden is now POTUS

You know I hate when people say somebody else should get out of the way, etc...
No....what needs to happen is young folk need to step. No one is going concede power. You take power and if you are unwilling to do what it takes. Then that is on you and not the people currently in power.
Go back and read EPDC's comment that I quoted. I think that The Squad and other Progressives are battering on the gates of the Establishment.
The Government is supposed to be about the will of the People (myth) and the Est. Dems are speed bumps and barriers to what the people want.

The Progressives are making noise and raising Hell about it. They are not ASKING for shit...they're demanding it.

So you're waiting on white folk to save us. Ok got it...

And you're waiting on what exactly? What policies?

BKF is obviously an old boomer.

Black and brown coalition tho.

We have to have coalitions where possible. This is more of a gender issue and taking the anti-men attitude usually applied most harshly to white men and expanding it.

Unlike most here, I think there's some validity to the "Black men are the white men of black people" line popularized by Jemele Hill and others. But this "Black women > black men" narrative has become so present in our media coverage that it is actually now a cliché and I do think the dynamic is exaggerated and not very applicable to Democratic politics.

Where is the validity in that line?

Just as white men are the most privileged group in society, when you're talking about just black people, straight black men enjoy the most privilege and care less about equality for those beneath them in the hierarchy. Look at the leaders who get praised throughout history-- the Harriet Tubmans are few and far between and it is mostly Martins and Malcolms because women, within the black community just as in society, never had the same opportunities.

Still running from the Biden LGBT and immigration questions, huh?

I aint running from shit because aint nothing to run from.
It's up to black folk to press for what they want because aint shit set in stone.
Plus it doesn't matter what he put fourth like police reform, criminal justice reform, etc....you won't be happy if it isn't just for black folk.
So..why is a woke person like yourself still waiting on white folk to save us?

So am I though, but I came to the conclusion pre-Trump that it was time for our generation to hand off the baton, fall back, and advise when asked.

Dude is clown. I'm not a "boomer" but like I said no one is going to hand you anything. You have to take it. Those old folk, were once young folk themselves. No one gave them their position.

That has been COMPLETELY flipped, don't you think?

"Black women are the most educated..."
Black women are the backbone of the Democratic Party.
Black women hold more political seats than Black men.

And so on...

I listened to Eva Longoria on that MSNBC piece evoke the same position that Black women do and applied it to Latinas. Are we to agree that Latin men are the White men of the Latino community?

That shit is wild
Although after seeing that weird ass voting pattern @Spectrum or whoever that was had posted, I'd bet the final number got a million or two cheat votes in there.

Rove is on the record saying close elections can be rigged and the Gore team is on the record saying it's a good possibility they rigged it with electronic vote machines. No one has the definitive proof but those types of numbers are mad weird.
